38 week of pregnancy apathy. Weakness during pregnancy - why and when? How to get rid of it

The last weeks of pregnancy are a very difficult period. Every woman carries it differently. Someone at 38 weeks it becomes easier, a surge of strength is felt, a "second wind" opens, while another, on the contrary, becomes heavier, there may even be a fear of impending childbirth.

Sometimes it is at 38 weeks that expectant mothers get nausea. Is it okay? Do I need to go to the doctor if a woman has been vomiting? What are the possible reasons for these phenomena?

Causes

Unfortunately, nausea or even vomiting at the end of pregnancy is not uncommon. And there can be a lot of reasons for such conditions. Some of them are associated with the peculiarities of the processes occurring in the body during this period. But feeling unwell at 38 weeks of gestation can be a sign of serious problems in the body, dangerous for the life of the fetus and its mother.

Only a doctor can determine what exactly caused the discomfort and how dangerous it is. Therefore, in case of nausea, especially severe and accompanied by vomiting, be sure to call him.

In order to independently assume what may be associated with poor health in the last weeks of pregnancy, and to act correctly, you need to know under what conditions there is nausea. In addition, it is important to consider other symptoms as well. The following are the most common causes of nausea in late pregnancy.

Compression of the stomach

By 38 weeks, the fetus is already very large, so the uterus takes up a lot of space in the abdominal cavity. Often at this time, the fetus already begins to descend to the cervix, which is considered a sign of impending labor, and the woman experiences some relief. But this may happen a couple of weeks later.

If the fruit is large or does not descend for a long time, the stomach, like some other abdominal organs, is slightly compressed. This interferes with its normal functioning and the removal of food into the intestines. In this case, the woman will feel a little nauseous in situations that increase the risk of stomach contents being thrown into the esophagus.

Here are some of them:

  • Taking large portions of food, especially fatty ones. Often, discomfort occurs after a woman has eaten several slices of white bread or a bun.
  • Physical activity, inclinations.
  • Rest in a supine position or on the right side without a pillow.

In this case, nausea is usually not very pronounced, and almost goes away if the factors that caused it are eliminated. In addition to it, there may be heartburn, constipation, flatulence and other signs that intestinal and stomach motility is reduced.

Coming birth

Childbirth at 38 weeks is not uncommon. Signs that this will happen very soon may include nausea and vomiting. This is due to the effect on the body of hormones that prepare the body for childbirth and stimulate contractions. If nausea is caused by this reason, along with it, the woman will observe other symptoms of the prenatal period.

It can be concluded that nausea is associated with an impending birth if the following symptoms are observed simultaneously with it:

  • Increased stool (up to 3 times or more), although there was nothing in the diet that could cause diarrhea.
  • Intensifying contractions.
  • Slight rise in temperature.
  • Amniotic fluid or mucous plug leaves.

If at least a few of the above signs are observed at 38 weeks of gestation, you need to call a doctor who will assess whether the childbirth is proceeding correctly and provide the necessary assistance.

Preeclampsia

Preeclampsia is a severe degree of preeclampsia or late toxicosis of pregnant women. This condition can occur in the third trimester and is very dangerous both for the life of the fetus and for the woman herself. Often the first sign of developing gestosis is nausea. Then other symptoms appear.

The causes of late toxicosis can be any serious health problems of the expectant mother that have arisen, manifested or worsened during pregnancy. Most often these are kidney and heart diseases. Failures that occur in this case in the body lead to a decrease in the blood supply to the placenta and oxygen starvation of the fetus.

Preeclampsia manifested itself in different ways in different patients, but a number of specific signs can be identified:

  • Severe nausea, often accompanied by vomiting.
  • Pain in the stomach.
  • Drawing pains in the lower back, in the region of the kidneys.
  • Feeling of heaviness in the occiput.
  • Headache.
  • Dizziness.
  • Faintness.
  • Swelling in the arms and legs.
  • Ringing or tinnitus.
  • High numbers of blood pressure indicators.
  • Aching or cramping pains in the lower abdomen.
  • Visual impairment, flashing "flies" before the eyes.

If there are several signs from this list or at least one is strongly pronounced, the woman must be urgently hospitalized and the cause of this condition must be found. If this is indeed preeclampsia, the patient should be left in the hospital and the fetal vital signs should be closely monitored. If there is a threat of death of the child or the woman's condition is dangerous to her life, an emergency caesarean section is indicated.

Nausea in late pregnancy, including at week 38, is not always a cause for concern. If it is due to the large size of the fetus or the high position of the uterus, this condition is not dangerous and will soon pass.

There are several ways you can reduce or even get rid of nausea completely:

  1. Eat often, but little by little.
  2. Avoid fatty foods, flour products.
  3. Do not bend over, especially after eating. Do not lift any heavy objects.
  4. Smoking is strictly prohibited.
  5. You need to rest and sleep on a high pillow in the position on the left side.
  6. To prevent problems with digestion and kidney function in late pregnancy, it is useful to get into the knee-elbow position (“on all fours”) three times a day and stand there for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Try to drink only between meals, not immediately after.
  8. Avoid places where pungent or unpleasant odors can be encountered.
  9. If desired, you can drink herbal teas, for example, with mint.

Never ignore warning signs, but don't over-worry. With careful attention to body signals and close cooperation with doctors, any danger, if any, can be very quickly recognized and eliminated.

You are still in anticipation of the onset of labor, it may begin today, or in a couple of weeks. The main thing is that there are fewer experiences associated with this, a bag is collected, an attitude is exclusively for a positive outcome. Read about how to spend the final weeks of waiting for replenishment in this article.

As a rule, most parents cannot resist curiosity, they find out the gender of the future child. If this is a girl, then, most likely, there is not a long time left to wait, usually female representatives are in a hurry to appear ahead of schedule.

Mom needs to always carry the phone with her, it is better not to stay alone for a long time. The process of childbirth at the thirty-eighth week is considered timely, full-term.

Probable pain

You need to listen carefully to any changes in the field of well-being, it is affected by the health of the unborn child, which is still completely dependent on the mother.
At the thirty-eighth week, there may be varying degrees of pain, which usually indicate any changes.

Due to the lowering of the abdomen, there may be some discomfort in the lower abdomen, this is because the baby turned over and fixed with his head in the pelvic area.

Similar sensations are provoked by the uterus, which comes in tone, gradually relaxing. At the peak, when the maximum tone is reached, the abdomen hardens like a stone. Usually such contractions are irregular, they are only precursors. With prolonged pain, it is allowed to take the drug no-shpu, it does not affect the baby, but it will help to endure such sensations.

Harbingers of childbirth

A lot of waiting time has passed, by the thirty-eighth week, the body is ready for childbirth, it begins to give signals. They are called harbingers of childbirth, they manifest themselves in each differently. Very often during this period, the stomach begins to pull, you need to lie down and endure this moment. It is for these reasons that you cannot plan long trips, trips, you must constantly keep a generic card with your data with you.
Sometimes it happens that at such a late date, appetite may disappear, nausea and other unpleasant symptoms may torment. It is not worth giving up food completely, try to eat something light, dairy products or dried fruits, for example.
One of the signals is false contractions. They manifest themselves in the form of constant back pain, change the position of the body, or take a contrast shower.

If this feeling does not leave you, get ready, they will soon turn into real fights. At this stage, most women panic, adopting a nervous stance.

It is important to set yourself up for the fact that, sooner or later, the birth of a child will frown, this is the end of any pregnancy and it is very important to keep positive.

Quite often, the release of mucous lumps is observed, which indicates the passage of the plug. But this does not always mean that childbirth will begin from day to day, although such a signal warns the imminent approach of the long-awaited birth.
It is necessary to determine in advance for yourself and consult with your doctor about the use of anesthesia. Many experts are against its use, as anesthesia can harm the baby. During childbirth, you can try to say something, scroll through pleasant memories from life in your head and think that in just a few moments, you will put your baby to your breast and then all the pain will be forgotten.

What is the belly now

As mentioned earlier, in the last months, every woman has a different stomach. It remains only to wait for real contractions, since such a phenomenon is one of the signs of the approaching process of giving birth to a baby.
Expectations of this moment are increasing every day, this is understandable, the belly becomes huge, it is very difficult for mom to move around, sometimes even putting on shoes on her own is not easy. For some, the skin on it itches, peels off, such symptoms are not a sign of a disease, only stretch marks make themselves felt. In general, my mother's belly began to look very strange, sometimes it becomes out of proportion, the navel turns outward, and the pigment strip appears more and more vividly.
There is only one advice, be patient and be extremely careful. Everything will return to its former appearance at the end of childbirth, or after a short time after them.

The onset of labor at 38 weeks

Rarely, one of the women carries on, right up to the fortieth week, childbirth may begin a few weeks earlier. Everything has its time, this process depends on the degree of maturity of the fetus, placenta.

As for the childbirth itself, they consist of several stages, the expectant mother needs to know them, since the lack of information on what to expect can be frightening:
1. This process begins with contractions of varying degrees, in the first period they contribute to the opening of the cervix. The first contractions are irregular and usually last fifteen to thirty seconds, with a break of about twenty minutes.
2. After the opening of the uterus, it is the turn of attempts, the feeling that you are about to push the baby out, the pressure is on the rectum, a burning sensation is felt. It is important to breathe correctly, to push, it is best at this stage to already be under the supervision of doctors.
3. Completion of the period of childbirth, the appearance of the placenta, this occurs after the birth of the baby. After a while, a woman feels contractions again, has to push again, approximately it takes up to twenty minutes.

What happens in the eighth month

Mom continues to visit the doctor and take tests, usually the doctor measures the size of the pelvis, weight. General analyzes of urine, blood are taken, and blood pressure is measured.
All this is necessary to confirm the correct development of pregnancy, and to determine the impending birth.
The growth of the fetus is almost fifty centimeters, and the weight has seriously increased and is three kilograms, it happens that these indicators are slightly different. The child is very cramped in the abdomen, the legs can protrude beyond the edges of the fingers, sometimes involuntarily scratching the face and palms, since the marigolds are already long.

The expectant mother in the last weeks is recommended to devote as much time as possible to sleep and rest. Avoid lying on your back, you can harm the child by accidentally pinching the ligaments. Even if you have no appetite, you need to force yourself to eat, giving preference to light foods such as cottage cheese, dietary fish, and other calcium-containing foods.

The last weeks of pregnancy are extremely difficult times. Every pregnant woman has it in its own way.

Someone at 38 weeks feels relief, feels a surge of strength, enthusiasm appears, while others, on the contrary, feel heaviness, they have anxiety before the impending birth.

In some situations, expectant mothers feel sick at 38 weeks of gestation. To find out the nature of this phenomenon, you must consult your doctor.

Causes of nausea during 38 weeks of pregnancy

Nausea at 38 weeks gestation is considered one of the main symptoms of impending labor.

Often, directly due to heartburn, gag reflex, disruptions in the digestive tract and other unpleasant symptoms, the body tries to eliminate toxic substances and prepares itself for the crucial period.

The main thing to remember at 38 weeks of gestation is that labor can begin at any time and a woman must prepare for this.

The child already weighs approximately 3 kg, and his height can reach 50 cm. A pregnant woman feels how a current can run through her body in some cases, this indicates that the baby is sinking down and ready to be born.

In some situations, the gag reflex opens and nausea appears at 38 weeks of gestation. Often, this is a disorder in the gastrointestinal tract, which most likely indicates an impending birth.

The digestive system in a similar way tries to respond to hormones that speed up labor, and the body gets rid of everything that can interfere with childbirth.

When a woman is nauseous at 38 weeks pregnant, it is possible to take certain measures to correct it.

The most important will be the consumption of food products in small portions. It is important not to overeat at night.

All food should be chewed thoroughly, in such a situation it will be processed faster, and, accordingly, faster excreted from the stomach.

In addition, nausea at 38 weeks is a symptom of late toxicosis.

Causes

Finding out why you feel sick at 38 weeks of gestation and whether it is dangerous is possible only with the help of a specialist.

Therefore, during nausea, as well as a gag reflex, it is imperative to seek help from a doctor.

In order to try to identify yourself, because of what may be feeling unwell in the last weeks of pregnancy, and how to act, you need to know during which states nausea manifests itself.

In addition, other symptoms must be taken into account.

Compression of the stomach

By 38 weeks, the baby is already large, because the uterus can take up a lot of space in the abdomen.

Often at this time, the baby already descends to the cervix, which is a harbinger of impending birth, and the pregnant woman feels a certain relief.

However, this can happen a couple of weeks later. When the fetus is large or does not descend for a long time, the stomach, like other abdominal organs, is somewhat compressed.

This interferes with its proper functioning and the removal of food masses into the intestines.

In such a situation, a woman is slightly nauseous under those circumstances during which the likelihood of gastric contents being thrown into the esophagus increases.

These include:

  • The consumption of a significant amount of food products, in particular fatty. Often, unpleasant sensations appear after a pregnant woman has eaten white bread or a roll.
  • Physical stress, inclinations.
  • Rest in a horizontal position on your back or on the right side without a pillow.

In a similar situation, nausea at 38 weeks of gestation is mostly mild, and disappears when the provoking factors are eliminated.

In addition to these symptoms, there is heartburn, constipation, bloating and other signs that the intestinal and stomach motility is reduced.

Coming birth

Childbirth at 38 weeks is a common condition. Symptoms that this is happening very soon suggest nausea and a gag reflex.

This is interconnected with the effect on the body of hormones that prepare it for childbirth and stimulate contractions.

When nausea is associated with this factor, in parallel with it, the pregnant woman also notes other symptoms before childbirth.

From this we can conclude that nausea during pregnancy at 38 weeks is associated with impending childbirth, when, in combination with it, the following signs are noted:

  • Increased stool (3 times or more), although there is no food on the menu that provokes diarrhea.
  • Increasing contractions.
  • Slight increase in temperature.
  • Amniotic fluid or a mucous plug begins to drain.

When at least one of the above symptoms is noted at 38 weeks of gestation, it is necessary to contact a specialist who will assess whether the childbirth is proceeding properly and will provide the necessary assistance.

Preeclampsia

A similar condition is a severe degree of late toxicosis in women in position. It occurs in the last trimester and is extremely dangerous for the health of the baby and mother.

Often, the initial symptom of developing gestosis is nausea. After that, other signs are added.

The cause of preeclampsia during pregnancy at 38 weeks is all sorts of difficulties with the health of the expectant mother, arising, manifested or aggravated during this period.

Often, the most common pathologies are kidney and heart disease. Disturbances that occur during this inside the body lead to a decrease in blood supply to the placenta and hypoxia of the infant.

Each patient has preeclampsia in its own way, but it is possible to distinguish certain specific symptoms:

  • Severe nausea, often associated with a gag reflex.
  • Painful sensations near the abdominal cavity.
  • Discomfort in the lumbar region of a pulling character, in the region of the kidneys.
  • Feeling of heaviness near the back of the head.
  • Headache.
  • The head is spinning.
  • Fainting.
  • Swelling of the upper and lower extremities.
  • Ringing or tinnitus.
  • Increased blood pressure.
  • Painful sensations of an aching or paroxysmal nature in the lower part of the peritoneum.
  • Disorders of visual function, flashing "flies" before the eyes.

In a situation where several symptoms from this list are observed at once, or at least one is pronounced, the pregnant woman should be hospitalized without delay and the provoking factor of such a condition should be established.

When this is indeed preeclampsia, the patient must be left in a hospital and carefully monitor the baby's vital signs.

When there is a possibility of miscarriage or the condition of the pregnant woman poses a danger to her health, an immediate cesarean section is indicated.

Treatment

To know why such unpleasant symptoms appear when the 38th week of pregnancy is going on, whether it poses a threat to the health of the expectant mother and baby, and also how to reduce it, you need to consult a specialist.

Nausea, in particular when the period is 38 weeks, is quite unpleasant and pregnant women are trying to find a way to eliminate it.

There are few methods on how to remove this phenomenon, in particular when the period is already 38 weeks.

When a woman in a position is nauseous in the last weeks of pregnancy, then she needs to follow a special dietary diet, which is designed to facilitate regurgitation and improve the functioning of the digestive tract.

However, you should not expect the symptoms to disappear altogether.

A balanced diet is considered the best treatment for nausea during 38 weeks of gestation. Food at this stage of pregnancy should be lean.

The consumption of lean food products helps to eliminate unpleasant symptoms.

It is necessary to eat in small portions, to eat only boiled and stewed food, without fail to avoid excess fat content that stimulates the secretion of bile.

Another effective way to counteract nausea, in particular when pregnancy reaches 38 weeks, is the knee-elbow position.

In this position, the uterus shifts forward, and the stomach area gets rid of pressure, respectively, food products freely leave the stomach without delay.

This simple exercise should be done whenever a pregnant woman is sick.

It is possible to carry out such a reception from the 2nd half of pregnancy about 20 minutes after a meal.

When the 38th week of pregnancy is on, postures during sleep will help eliminate nausea at this stage, facilitating the release of the stomach from food masses and preventing the reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus.

The nausea, which constantly occurs in the evening and at night, recedes when the pregnant woman sleeps on the left side and on a high pillow.

When the nausea, if the 38th week of pregnancy is going on, despite all the efforts, does not go away, then what to do with it needs to be decided by a specialist.

It must be remembered that nausea during pregnancy is considered a transient phenomenon that will certainly go away after the birth of a child.

Prophylaxis

Nausea in the last stages of pregnancy, including 38 weeks, is not always considered a cause for alarm.

When it is caused by the significant size of the baby or the high location of the uterus, such a phenomenon will not be dangerous and will soon disappear.

There are several methods that can reduce the symptoms of nausea or completely eliminate it:

  • Eat often, but in small portions.
  • Avoid fatty foods, starchy foods.
  • Do not bend over, especially after eating. Do not lift any weights.
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • Rest and sleep should be on a high pillow in a horizontal position on the left side.
  • As a preventive measure, to prevent difficulties with digestive processes and kidney function at a later stage of pregnancy, including during the 38th week, you should get up in the knee-elbow position 3 times a day and stand there for 10 minutes.
  • It is necessary to drink only between meals, and not after them.
  • Avoid places where there is a possibility of exposure to persistent or unpleasant odors.
  • When the desire is there, it is possible to consume herbal teas, for example, with peppermint.

If the 38th week of pregnancy is in progress, nausea and a gag reflex may not manifest itself in everyone. However, you need to prepare for the fact that such a state will come before childbirth.

To understand what this means, when it passes, what threatens a woman or her baby, you need to consult a specialist.

Congratulations, you delivered the baby before the due date. Because from the 38th week of pregnancy, childbirth is no longer counted. It is noteworthy that girls are usually born at this time, and boys reach the prescribed 40 weeks.

Childbirth at 38 weeks gestation: harbingers

And yet, if childbirth should occur on one of the days of 38 weeks, it would be nice to be ready for them "fully armed". And you can prepare for childbirth by discovering their harbingers, which in any case, to one degree or another, will appear by this time. Moreover, there are actually quite a few precursors of childbirth.

One of them is more tangible and frequent. Shortly before childbirth, the uterus "trains" more intensively, contracting more often and more painful. Sometimes a woman even begins to doubt: is it true only false contractions, or has labor contractions already begun? A change in position will help to distinguish training from "real" contractions: if you are in doubt whether labor is starting, get up, walk around the room, lie down. If the contractions have stopped, then so far we are not talking about childbirth.

The imminent birth will be indicated by stopping the weight or even losing it: shortly before the onset of labor, without five minutes, mommy may find that her body weight has decreased by 1-2 kg. Against the background of stopping weight or even reducing it, a decrease in appetite or its complete absence is possible. Sometimes a woman literally forces herself to eat, because she does not feel like eating at all.

It is likely that shortly before childbirth you will notice a slight increase in discharge with the presence of mucus in them - particles of a mucous plug. The mucus can be colored beige, pinkish, brownish. The fact is that when the uterus opens and contracts, small vessels rupture, which explains the staining of the secretions. Discharge of the mucous plug - you will find out that this is it by the appearance of a tight lump of mucus, possibly interspersed with blood - indicates that childbirth is already very close.

Abdominal prolapse can also precede childbirth - the baby moves closer to the birth canal and presses the head to the bottom of the uterus. In this regard, the uterus stops pressing on the internal organs, mommy's breathing is facilitated, heartburn disappears. But there is a need for more frequent urination - having descended, the uterus presses on the bladder. And, since the baby is tightly pressed by the head to the pelvis, you will probably feel pressure in the sacrum area, pulling pains in the groin.

Fetus at 38 weeks gestation: movements, weight and dimensions

Although childbirth can take place any of the days of this week, before it occurs, the pregnancy continues. How is your baby?

In baby boys, by this time the boy's testicles had already descended into the scrotum, but if this did not happen by the time of birth, there may be difficulties in the future. So the doctor must check this "nuance" in the baby.

The original feces of meconium are already formed by 38 weeks of gestation. The small intestine will push it out after birth, but it can also hurry up: then the black-green mass falls directly into the amniotic fluid, the baby can swallow them, the baby's body in this case is also covered with greenish mucus.

However, now the baby has already become quite beautiful! The facial features have been sharpened, the skin has acquired a pleasant pinkish tint, smoothed out, the original fluff and grease have practically disappeared, hair has probably grown on the head. You can find information about the color of the eyes of a newborn: most of them are born light-eyed, but very often the iris then darkens. If the baby has dark eyes, then most likely they will no longer turn blue. However, from personal experience I say: anything is possible. And the dark brown eyes of your beauty can then suddenly become completely light. So don't set yourself up for anything in particular.

You've obviously noticed that the baby has become less active - for good reason. There is very little space left, but it continues to grow! At 38 weeks, the weight of the fetus is more than 3 kg, and the height exceeds 50 cm. Naturally, these are average data, and you need to focus more on the "dimensions" of mom and dad at their birth.

Listen to movements. First, these are the last moments of enjoying this sensation. Secondly, if the child does not show any signs, it is necessary to inform the doctor about it.

In general, the baby by the 38th week of pregnancy, although not so active, but his movements are captured by the mother very well. For half a day, if everything is in order with the baby and he does not experience any difficulties, the baby will make itself felt about 10-12 times. In the case when the child pushes much more often, or, conversely, calms down - immediately consult a doctor. Such symptoms almost always indicate intrauterine suffering of the child, and it is quite possible that specialized medical intervention may be needed to correct the situation.

Future mom

Perhaps you are worried about the upcoming contractions: how to recognize them so as not to be mistaken for false ones. Be calm in this sense: you are unlikely to "oversleep" the birth. Real contractions are more painful and tangible, they are repeated periodically, increasing their frequency and intensity on an increasing basis.

Belly at 38 weeks of gestation: pulls, hurts, sags

On the eve of the "arrival" of real labor pains, you will most likely feel some soreness in the abdomen, and at the same time, in the lower back. Pulling pains in the lower abdomen and the same in the lower back are considered one of the harbingers of imminent childbirth. Therefore, do not be alarmed if your stomach is pulling and hurting at 38 weeks of gestation.

Moreover, if these pains arise. Do you feel like your belly has dropped to the bottom? Get ready very soon, along with the prepared things, to go to the hospital. In the meantime, rejoice that, thanks to the sagging stomach, it has become easier for you to breathe, and the heartburn has receded. Do not panic if the lowering of the abdomen does not happen: in some cases, the belly does not lower until the onset of labor, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pain at 38 weeks gestation

Lowering the abdomen is just a consequence of the baby moving closer to the birth canal: having dropped, he presses his head against the bottom of the uterus, putting pressure on the pelvic bones. Hence - pain in the pelvic region, in the pubis, in the groin.

Some pregnant women by 38 weeks complain of pain in the sacrum, the back of the leg - perhaps not up to the knee. This is a result of compression of the femoral nerve, which runs close to the uterus. But pain and even cramps in the calf muscles will tell you about a calcium deficiency in the body.

If headaches again make themselves felt, perhaps you should simply avoid nervous shocks, worry less about the upcoming birth, and rest more. The best headache healer right now is sleeping in a dim, cool, well-ventilated room.

Be sure to monitor the degree of edema and pay attention to whether some other warning signs are added to the edema. So, a certain swelling at 38 weeks of gestation is considered the norm, but! If, against the background of edema, you observe headaches, you notice double vision, diarrhea suddenly appears or you vomit - immediately call an "ambulance": a complex of such signs indicates preeclampsia, a serious complication of the second half of pregnancy.

Allocations

At the 38th week of pregnancy, however, as throughout her entire life, a woman is characterized by some discharge from the genital tract. Normally, vaginal discharge at this time has a light milky color, a uniform consistency and a subtle smell of sour milk. Do not be surprised to find mucus in your secretions, possibly transparent, and possibly pinkish or brown in color. These are particles of the mucous plug, which gradually comes out due to the softening and opening of the cervix. However, if at some point you notice the separation of the "full" plug in the form of a lump of mucus, maybe pink colored, maybe with bloody streaks - go to the hospital: you will soon give birth.

Do not hesitate to contact a specialist and when bloody discharge appears: blood from the vagina signals a detachment of the normally located placenta. This dangerous phenomenon can, without a proper response to it, lead to very dire consequences - intrauterine death of a child. Therefore, it is by no means possible to ignore spotting.

As well as discharge of an unhealthy yellow or green color, discharge with a pungent unpleasant odor, curdled or foaming, with impurities of pus. Allocations of this nature are evidence of the activation of a genital infection, which should be treated in time even before childbirth. After all, if this is not done, passing through the birth canal of the mother, the baby will easily "take over" the infection.

Be sure to seek help if you notice a watery liquid discharge that resembles cloudy water or is slightly yellow in color. Most likely, you have a place with amniotic fluid separation. Keep in mind that amniotic fluid does not have to be poured out all at once. By the way, such an event precedes the onset of childbirth, therefore, if this happens, go to the hospital. But, after all, amniotic fluid can be separated in portions, in small quantities. This is possible with aging and violation of the integrity of the membranes, and also requires immediate medical intervention: if the integrity of the membranes is violated, the infection can easily penetrate the fetus.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan at 38 weeks of gestation can only be performed for some special reason, because, in theory, a woman has already passed it. But, if you still need to clarify, for example, the location of the fetus in the uterus, exclude entanglement with the umbilical cord, assess the degree of maturity of the placenta, the doctor may consider another ultrasound scan necessary for a period of 38 weeks.

As before, during an ultrasound scan, a specialist will examine not only the baby, but also the state of the uterus. Of interest during the examination is the size of the baby and the ratio of individual parts of his body to each other, the heart rate of the baby, its position in the uterus.

During an ultrasound examination, the doctor will also assess the quantity and quality of amniotic fluid, examine the structure and size, and the degree of maturity of the placenta. Of interest is also the maturity of the cervix, its size and condition in general.

You, probably, have already imagined the first meeting with the most dear little man for you more than once! Expect the best and brightest from her, strive to bring this moment closer and think about it during childbirth. You have to work with the baby in pairs: try your best to make it easier to have him. Learn to breathe correctly and relax, be ready to push in time. Think at this time only about your miracle! Oh, I already envy you!

I would like to note that the fatigue from this work is incredibly pleasant. You will certainly be satisfied with yourself and everything that happened. And you will truly feel like a heroine! It seems to me that only after the birth of a child, a woman fully realizes her purpose and feels satisfaction from life.

Be sure to ask the doctor to apply the baby to the breast immediately after birth!

Until this moment, there is nothing left! No rest in peace to you!
