The birthday boy’s room can be turned into a fairy-tale forest and you can have a picnic with your child’s favorite characters.
To do this, you should hang leaves and bright flowers everywhere, made from balls or any other material: corrugated paper, fabric. Include sounds of nature, children's songs from your favorite cartoons.
Instead of a regular table, you can lay a blanket on the floor and lay out soft toys. We decorate the walls with the child’s drawings and pictures of fairy-tale characters.
4. If the child is four years old
The child has grown up and is looking forward to the cherished day. At this age, the baby already recognizes himself as the central figure of the holiday, and looks forward to gifts, guests and games.
Now you can use not only balloons, but also small toys in decoration. It is advisable to buy not very expensive small toys and place them throughout the birthday boy’s room in the most unexpected places. The child will experience great joy when he finds them.
5. If the child is five years old
Every child always has their favorite cartoon characters. And this can be used as an idea when celebrating a birthday.
We cut out pictures of cartoon characters from children's magazines or purchase special stickers. Together with the child, we hang them on any surface in the house.
The figures can be made standing. To do this, you just need to stick them on a durable backing. Even a simple chandelier will turn into a festive decoration if you decorate it with colorful balls, chains and garlands.
In order to make the baby’s fifth birthday memorable for a long time, we prepare a “Fairytale Tree” with finger paints.
The baby's hand has the same number of fingers as the birthday boy is old. Each finger will have its own paint color. A tree with finger leaves will delight the whole family with its beauty for a long time.
6. If the child is six years old
At this age, the child himself tries to take part in decorating the room for his birthday.
The glass in the windows, painted by a child’s hand, will look very elegant. The future birthday boy will be happy to take on the task of creating a masterpiece using watercolor or gouache paints, which are then easily washed off with water.
7. If the child is seven years old
A child at this age already reads well. This means that he will be interested in reading the congratulations intended for him himself.
Great idea - “Seven-flowered flower”. On each of the seven bright petals of the flower, you should write a wish for the birthday person, and in the middle of the flower, paste a photograph with the smiling face of a child. This flower is placed in a prominent place.
8. If the child is eight years old
Balloons inflated with gel are perfect for decorating a room. Each ball should contain a small and light gift.
The balls are tied with colored ribbons of different lengths so that the child can easily get the one he likes.
Streamers and all sorts of bright paper garlands made by the child himself are hung under the ceiling. The most original works of the birthday person are placed in a prominent place or hung on the walls.
9. If the child is nine years old
For a nine-year-old child, decorating a room for a birthday in a specific theme is suitable. For a girl, the room turns into the palace of her beloved princess. Boys love to feel like the captain of a pirate ship with a parrot on his shoulder, a cowboy in a hat and a scarf around his neck.
Or maybe he wants to find himself in an impenetrable jungle, where surprises await at every step? To do this, parents must prepare in advance everything to equip the birthday character and future guests. The idea depends on the wishes of the child himself.
10. If the child is ten years old
The decoration of a room for a child’s birthday will perfectly complement, and perhaps successfully replace the usual helium balloons, with such an original holiday accessory as paper pompoms made with one’s own hands.
Paper (tissue or corrugated) is purchased for these purposes at an office supply store. Pom-poms look very stylish. Unlike balloons, they can never burst.
Garlands and large flowers are made from the same paper. An applique with the name of a newborn will look great on a garland of paper flags.
11. If the child is eleven years old
An interesting idea for decorating the birthday boy’s room is the idea with multi-colored forfeit fans.
Forfeits are easy to make and look very impressive. You can make an excellent photo zone from them if you hang the elements very close to each other on the wall.
Since each child has his own favorite characters, the fan disk can serve as a background for the desired photograph or picture.
12. If the child is twelve years old
When decorating a teenager’s room for a birthday, ready-made decorative elements – luminous paper stars – will look original.
Thanks to the stars, even the most dull room turns into the room for the most pompous holiday. In the evening, a fabulous decor will create light passing through the translucent fragments of the picture.
In order for guests to leave their wishes as a souvenir in writing, you should think about the birthday boy’s corner. The place for wishes must be beautifully designed and not to forget about the album in which everyone can leave a congratulation to the birthday person.
