We stopped at the tenth record and I talked there about a woman who collected Mickey Mouses . So, I'll continue...

In this nomination, a landslide victory was won by John Cassidy, who designed the plane that you see in the photo below!

12.The longest nose in the world.

The longest nose on the planet belongs to a Turk named Mehmet Ozyurek, and the length of his nose is 8.8 cm. Not least important is the fact that his nose is constantly growing and it may soon happen that he himself will break his own record that he set not so long ago!

13.The smallest man in the world.

The smallest man in the world is officially a resident of Nepal, Kagendra Thapa Magar, and at 18 years old, his height is only 65.53, and his weight is simply amazing, only 5.5 kg. However, not everything is so rosy, because soon he may lose his title as the challengers step on their heels. The Filipino Janri Balaving has a height that can be compared to the height of a newborn, only 55.88 cm. This figure should not change, since the Filipino does not grow from birth, so soon after when he turns 18, he will be a new record holder. Let me remind you that only adults have the right to claim the title of laureate of this book.

14.Most long tongue in the world among dogs.

Apparently there were already representatives who set similar records, but a ten-year-old boy from Canada, Aaron Caissie, surprised the whole world. He managed to hold 17 tablespoons on his face! But the most interesting thing is that it only took him 5 seconds to attach all the spoons to his face!

16.The largest number of cocktail straws in a person’s mouth!

This record was set by Simon Elmore, who lives in Germany. He managed to stuff 400 straws into his mouth and hold them in his mouth for 10 seconds. In my opinion, this record could be broken by the owner of the largest mouth in the world, which I talked about yesterday :)

17.The largest collection of Smurfs.

A resident from Great Britain, Stephen Parks, has been collecting figurines of little sky-blue gnomes since childhood, and despite his 44 years, he continues to collect them. As of January 2010, his collection included 1,061 exhibits, and despite this, he is not going to stop there .

18.The smallest cow in the world.

The title of the smallest cow in the world belongs to an 11-year-old cow named Swallow, who lives in the North of England on a farm in West Yokeshire. From withers to hooves, her height is only 84 cm, that is, it can be compared with the size of an ordinary sheep, here only she doesn’t reach her size. An interesting fact is that in her 11 years, she gave birth to 10 calves, which are many times taller than their mother!

19.The heaviest limousine in the world.

The world's heaviest limousine is officially considered to be the "Midnight Rider" limousine? Translated as night racer. It was assembled in California in September 2004 and this limousine has not yet left any car enthusiast indifferent!

20.The most zealous fighter in the world for the environment among animals.

This nomination rightfully goes to a Labrador named Tabby, who lives in the UK. Since ancient times, he has become famous for his desire to protect nature. In the last six years alone, this Labrador has brought his owner Sandra Gilmore 26,000 plastic bottles from the street. This dog’s favorite pastime is collecting plastic bottles. He looks for them, crushes them with his teeth, and then, together with the owner, they take them for recycling.

This record belongs to Chinese resident Xi Quiping. Her path to the record began in 1973, it was from this year that she began to grow her hair, then she was 13 years old and today she can boast of the most long hair, length which is 5.63 meters.

22.The heaviest boots in the world.

I look at the numbers and am surprised. Just think about it, the heaviest boots in the world weigh 122.8 kg, and their owner Zhang Zhenqi is from China. But the most amazing thing is that he managed to walk in them in March 2010 while filming a TV show in Rome!

23.The tiniest dog in the world.

The tiniest dog in the world is the well-known Chihuahua with the rather cute nickname Boo-Boo. Boo-Boo has been the record holder among dogs since 2007. The dog’s height is only 10.16 cm and weight 680 grams. So try to find 10 differences between this dog and guinea pig :))

24.The largest dog in the world.

The largest dog in the world is officially recognized as a blue Great Dane named George, who lives in the US state of Arizona. By the way, I already talked about him on my blog. 25.Record for the fastest burst balloons.

And finally, the most fun and noisy record for popping balloons belongs to the terrier Anastasia from Australia. She was included in the Guinness Book of Records in 2011 for her ability to pop faster than other dogs. Balloons! In 44.49 seconds she managed to pop 100 balloons! Not every person will repeat this :)

Among the inhabitants of our planet who have the most big noses, there are both men and women, and the owner of the largest nose has already broken his own record! Everything about long and huge noses is in this collection of amazing facts.

The biggest noses in the world

This may seem strange to some, but caricatured Georgians with huge “aerodrome” caps and no less majestic noses are by no means record holders in the field of length of the external respiratory organ. However, scientists have put forward a hypothesis why Georgians, Armenians and other inhabitants of the Caucasus are still confident that the largest noses in the world belong to horsemen.

The fact is that in the Middle Ages, when humanity did not yet possess as much knowledge about human anatomy as it does now, representatives of many Asian and European nations correlated the length of a man’s nose with his sexual strength. Thus, the longer a man’s nose was, the longer his other male pride was considered to be. The myth that the length of a man’s phallus determines his virility, despite the latest research by doctors and sex therapists, has not outlived its usefulness to this day. Therefore, loving Caucasians were and continue to be proud of their big noses.

According to studies conducted by foreign anthropologists, the greatest average length Kurdish nose is 58 millimeters. The Armenians are only one millimeter behind the Kurds. The average length of the nose of Georgians is close to the European average.

Who has the biggest nose?

Despite the fact that the longest-nosed representatives of the human race live at the junction of Europe and Asia, the world championship for the largest nose is held in the Swiss city of Lagenbruck. The championship, which has been held in Switzerland for more than half a century, once every five years brings together people with the largest noses in the world from all over the world. Those participants who grimace or otherwise try to increase the length of their nose during measurement will be disqualified. Applicants convicted of surgical intervention on their nose are also not allowed to participate. During the last championship, the winner was a man whose nose length was 127 millimeters. Unfortunately, the results of this championship are not included in the Guinness Book of Records.

Longest nose

According to the terms of the Guinness Book, only those whose record was officially recorded in the presence of an expert from the national Guinness Committee can be included in the list of record holders. In the world list of records, the first place in terms of nose length is firmly held by the Turks. Currently, the official record holder in this area is Mehmet Ozyurek. His record nose length was recorded in 2007. In 2011, the Turk broke his own record.

Now the length of the Turk’s nose is 88 millimeters, and every year Ozyurek’s nose increases by about one millimeter. It is caused by a rare medical condition called rhinophyma. Scientists have not yet established the causes of this disease.

Rhinophyma is a rather unpleasant disease: the skin of the nose begins to grow, the nose increases in both length and width, becomes bright red and lumpy. At the initial stages of the disease, the nose does not change its shape, but in the future, if no action is taken surgical intervention, the organ becomes shapeless and ugly. As it grows, the skin of the nose hangs down under its own weight, closing the nostrils and significantly complicating normal breathing. With rhinophyma, the number of sebaceous glands in the skin of the nose increases and blood vessels dilate. The wings of the nose, consisting of cartilage, become thinner. In rare cases, on the contrary, the cartilage becomes thicker and disfigures the face.

There are no treatment methods for rhinophyma other than surgery. Rhinophyma is characteristic mainly of men. People get sick after the age of forty. Women practically do not suffer from the disease that enlarges their nose.

In addition to the official record holder Mehmet Ozyurek, two more people are vying for the title of owner of the largest nose in the world - a Turk and a Pakistani. An Islamabad resident named Faizan Agha has a nose that measures 1,219 millimeters in length. This record has not yet been included in the Guinness Book due to the fact that the Pakistani is in no hurry to contact representatives of the Guinness Committee and, in general, is not very happy with his own record. Relatives say that he even plans to get rid of his attraction by reducing the length of his nose to an acceptable length through surgery.

The world's largest nose (according to unofficial data) - Mehmet Gul

Recently, a video appeared on the Internet, the main character of which was an eighty-year-old resident of Turkey, the namesake of the current record holder, Mehmet Gul. The exact length of the Turkish elder's nose is unknown; he does not plan to take part in competitions, but experts from the Guinness Committee estimate the length of his nose at 129 millimeters. The Turk did not always have such a long nose - the reason for the record was a tumor that had grown on the old man’s face in the last few years.

The longest nose in women

Unfortunately, the Guinness Book of Records does not contain information about the woman with the longest nose in the world. This is not surprising - since women do not have the rare disease rhinophyma, they are not good at “competing” with men in this area. At the last world championship in long noses, the owner of a nose 101.6 millimeters long won in the women's category, but her name was not preserved in the annals of history.

The biggest nose in Russia

The Russian book of records does not record the largest nose on the territory of our country, but it describes the conditions under which any long-nosed Russian can claim the title of record holder. The length of the applicant's nose, measured from the bridge of the nose to the tip of the nose, must be at least seventy millimeters in a straight line. If you are the owner of such a nose, then the Russian record can become yours! The unofficial record for nose length is claimed by Russian woman Ksenia Gluntsova.

The longest nose in Russia is a teacher from Cheboksary

A woman works as a teacher in kindergarten city of Cheboksary and is very complex about the length of her nose, believing that he ruined her life. However, the length of Ksenia’s nose does not allow her to claim the record - up to seven centimeters is clearly far away.

The biggest nose in the world

The current record holders for large noses are not what they used to be. If you believe historical information, the owner of the largest nose of all time was the Briton Thomas Weathers. His record will most likely not be broken soon - the length of the Englishman’s nose was 19.05 centimeters. Thomas worked in the circus all his life, he was shown to the public as a miracle of nature.

In the eighteenth century, in Bremen, Germany, there lived a man who became the prototype of the famous tale of the Dwarf Nose - the nobleman Gustav von Albach.

Kunstkamera TUSSAUDS MUSEUM - Gustav von Albach the longest nose in the world NOSE

The German had a nose whose length was close to seventeen centimeters. Unlike other long-nosed record holders, he never had any complexes about the length of his organ. The cheerful, long-nosed joker took part in masquerades and children's parties with pleasure, skillfully making the audience laugh.

How did the Guinness Book of Records come about? On May 4, 1951, Sir Hugh Beaver, then director of the Guinness brewery, looked into one of the bars, where he became one of the participants in a dispute about which bird was the fastest in the world, realizing a little later that he simply did not know a book in which one could look for such information. Then he thought that a book of this kind might become popular.
