Christmas decorations: we make snowflakes, Christmas balls, garlands, wreaths with our own hands. Learn to make toys for the Christmas tree with our own hands from anything Christmas toys for the Christmas tree from tinsel

New Year is a special, sincere holiday. And in the pre-New Year's bustle, the second most powerful, after the desire to quickly sit down at the table, is the desire to make unique New Year's toys with your own hands. It is not accepted to reckon with expenses for the New Year; the holiday industry, we must give it its due, seeks to satisfy demand in every possible way and does not appoint insane markups: the goods are in demand, the profit will be so. But the variety is so great that you don't expect originality from the purchase, somewhere the same is still on sale. So you want something from your hands and with a piece of your soul.

This article contains a part, however, quite extensive, of the endless sea: how to make and decorate Christmas tree decorations with your own hands. Let's touch on the still very popular wreath on the door and styles of decorating the Christmas tree. Of course, there are more than enough New Year themes for home craftsmen with craftswomen and their little assistants: decorating a room, a festive table, a homemade Christmas tree, and much more. Making a lush and fragrant Christmas tree on your own, for example, is not difficult, and living trees remain on the root, and do not go under the ax. But you can't immediately grasp the immensity. Therefore, for now, we will restrict ourselves to Christmas decorations. But! Take a look at fig. Some, and most, of all these Christmas tree decorations are homemade. Including the bell on the upper right next to the red apple. See? It was once a glass of yogurt. Like? Then, as they say, you are here. We will do no worse.

The material is designed primarily for New Year's home-builders who do not own complex technologies and do not have a home workshop at their disposal. To make the Christmas decorations described below, you will need scissors, an awl, a sharp knife with a thin blade (scalpel or stitching knife), thread, a sewing needle, nail tongs or side cutters, and tweezers or small pliers. Also - PVA glue, superglue (instant cyanoacrylate) and, in some cases, "Moment" or its analogues. For certain types of toys - some other small household tool or household utensils. What other materials are needed, simple and accessible, let's see along the way. All the work can be done on the table, covering it with foil or covering it with cardboard.

Various tricks and tricky differences

No workflow is possible without the right technology. We don't need a workshop with robots, we need to make do with what is at hand. In order for homemade New Year's crafts to please both hands at work and the eyes ready, you need to learn several simple methods of preparing blanks and materials for Christmas tree decorations and the rules for their use.

Shine

Now, for some reason, almost everything shiny for the New Year is called glitter; in Russian - brilliance. Reading the manuals, sometimes and with a lot of personal experience, it is difficult to figure out what is meant: glitter, colored laminated paper, thin shiny plastic film, metallic paint, or some new product.

We'll start with sequins; you can't do without them. Sequins for Christmas tree decorations are inexpensive, but in the outback they may simply not be on sale. In this case, a manual noodle cutter (see the figure on the right) and a foil baking sleeve will help out. The noodle cutter is needed precisely by hand; the powerful motor of the food processor does not feel the unfamiliar material, and the nozzle will immediately clog up, or even break. By hand, things are going well:

  • A part about 10-12 cm wide is cut from the roll of the sleeve with a knife.
  • Gradually unwinding the aluminum tape, pass it through the machine.
  • Then, and it is possible in the course of work, if there is an assistant, finely chop the "noodles" with scissors. Children like it if there are not enough scissors for everyone, and it's not far from the fight.

Instead of foil, you can also use glitter, which is a shiny colored plastic film. And another note: do not try to replace the helpers-shredders with mechanization in the form of a meat grinder. "Noodles" instead of sparkles will turn into pellets, and you can't clean the meat grinder later.

Toys usually "shine" by sprinkling the surface covered with not dried PVA, varnish or paint. But you can "shine" with spots; if there are multi-colored sequins - multi-colored. To do this, a portion of the glitter is collected in a straw of the required diameter, from a very thin one for juice to a hose under 2 cm in diameter for a smoothie or shrimp cocktail, and gently blow the glitter over the desired area. Having got used to blowing, you can also display patterns. In any case, to blow out the stripes (see fig.), Long training is not required.

Colored varnish

Transparent colored varnish is prepared on the basis of nitro solvents 646, 647, etc. Dye - paste for ballpoint pens. OK. 50 ml of solvent is poured into a glass cup (in a ventilated room!), The writing tip is pulled out of the rod with pliers (be careful, do not get dirty!), And the paste is blown into the solvent. The tone of the paste is very dense, so more than 1 stick is hardly needed. The finished varnish is poured into a bottle with a gas-tight stopper and lid. Pharmacy hydrogen peroxide vials work well, they do not need to be washed. The glass (beaker) is washed from the remaining varnish with the same solvent.

Blanks for balls

In the shops and departments "Skillful hands", "Everything for creativity", art, and on New Year's Eve and in gift shops, foam and transparent plastic blanks for balls are sold. Transparent balls are most often filled with something colorful, see fig. on right. For decoration, it is better to take one-color ready-made balls, they are cheaper and are sold everywhere. What can be done with them, we'll see.

In the meantime, let's see where to get away from centers with a large trade turnover and how to prepare very convenient foam balls for work, we will also deal with them for the Christmas tree. The first question is solved simply: there will probably be some kind of fishing and hunting shop within reach. And in it - cheap floats for fishing rods and nets made of the same foam balls of different sizes. Are they perforated? So what, it will be easier to fix the suspension loop.

However, foam will corrode almost any paint and varnish. Almost the only thing that does not spoil it is PVA. Here is PVA and you need to cover the foam blanks before starting up further. Better - twice, with complete drying of the 1st layer before applying the next. PVA film is sufficiently resistant and will take painting well.

Note: PVA is also desirable to process the inflatable gel balls in those places where the drawing will be applied. And if it was drawn with a gel pen, then it would be nice to protect the drawing in the same way from accidental smearing with wet hands.

Papier mache

Sticky semi-liquid paper pulp - papier-mache - is indispensable in the manufacture of New Year's toys in many cases: knobs are made of it, the basis of funny faces is molded, etc. Usually, it is advised to take old newspapers for making papier-mâché, but due to the admixture of printing ink, the tone of the product then turns out to be dirty. For papier-mâché, it is better to buy clean white newsprint (not glued) paper at a stationery store. Cigarette and mica are not suitable! Papier-mache is made like this:
  1. The leaf is passed through a noodle cutter or finely cut with scissors.
  2. Spread the scraps into a glass, touching tightly.
  3. A full glass is poured with boiling water and left for 3 hours. The absorbed boiling water must be immediately added to the top of the settled paper!
  4. The mass from the glass is poured into a bowl and kneaded until the dough or plasticine is thick, gradually adding PVA; it should take about 2 tbsp. spoons of glue.
  5. The finished papier-mâché is laid out in a jar with a tightly screwed lid; suitability for use in a can of canned vegetables lasts up to 6 months.

Old light bulbs

Burned-out incandescent bulbs are an excellent base for Christmas tree decorations. However, if you want to fill the flask with something (see fig.) Or cover it with a transparent varnish, the question arises: how to separate the flask from the base, open and remove the stem with internal fittings?

The base is separated by boiling: put the light bulbs in a saucepan with cold water, heat it over low heat to a low boil, and boil for up to 10 minutes. The fallen off base will not fall to the bottom, it will hang on the wires. After the lamp has cooled down, they are bitten off with side cutters, with the tips of scissors or nail tongs, thrusting them deeper into the socket of the stem.

Next, put an emery block in a large bowl or small basin and pour water to cover it. Then, with light pressure, in smooth circular movements, they erase the side of the flask until the stem falls out; takes up to 5 minutes for 1 lamp. The base, if needed, is glued back with superglue.

Note: you need to work with light bulbs in cotton household gloves, which are used, for example, when cutting fish. Glass is a traumatic material! The second important thing is that only incandescent lamps can be disassembled! There are mercury vapors in the light tubes of the housekeepers! An insignificant amount, but all the same - mercury is mercury, it is not excreted from the body.

Salty dough

Excellent Christmas tree decorations can be made from salted dough, see fig. Figures are cut out of its thin layers with stamps for cookies (pos. 1,2), cut with a thin sharp knife by hand (pos. 3) or according to templates (pos. 4,5). Salted dough is inedible, but it will perfectly accept any painting and varnishing and will allow you to cut very thin contours.

The composition and preparation method are as follows:

  • White wheat flour - 200 g.
  • Table salt - 200 g.
  • Refined sunflower oil - 3 tbsp. spoons.
  • Water - 125 ml (just over half a glass).

Salt is mixed with flour, then butter is gradually added, stirring all the time. Further, water is also added with continuous kneading until the consistency of clay or plasticine. Spread the mass in a plastic bag, and put it in a jar with a tight lid and store it in the refrigerator in the vegetable section for up to six months.

Roll out the dough into a layer 3-4 mm thick with a round rolling pin. The cut figures are placed on a baking sheet, sheet of tin, galvanized iron, etc., and dried on a radiator. Drying quickly in the oven or just on the table without heating is impossible! Drying takes several days; completely dried figures are painted, painted with gel pens, varnished. They, with careful storage, will be enough for more than one New Year; salty dough - the material is quite durable.

Decoupage

Decoupage, simply - decals - is widely used in New Year's decor. However, not everyone is suitable for Christmas tree decorations. Christmas tree toys need to be decorated with plastic decoupage, which lies on curved surfaces without wrinkles. It can be distinguished (sellers do not always know what they are selling) from the usual protective coating: in this case, it is not a film, but a porous napkin. Moisten and remove it before use. The picture is superimposed on the base, unlike flat "translations", in the center, and carefully, with smooth circular movements, smooth to the edges. The best base is a slightly rough layer of PVA applied with a foam swab, or the same layer of white nitro paint.

Note: children decouple the most accurately - the fingers are not yet coarse.

Popcorn

Small popcorn, glued with PVA or superglue, in many cases can replace papier-mâché. It, like the latter, before use, it is advisable to process PVA in the same way as foam plastic, and for the same purpose.

Christmas tree decorations

Snowflakes

The first and simplest way to decorate both the Christmas tree and the whole house is snowflakes. Everyone probably knows how to cut them; just in case, we give a diagram (Fig. below) how to cut snowflakes with gaps in the rays.

However, in reality, water crystallizes in a hexagonal pattern, i.e. real snowflakes have 6 rays. Cutting them out in the same way will not work: if the sheet is folded in three, it will not turn into a snowflake, but six times, you will get 12 rays. Therefore, if you do not mind the work of real snowflakes, we give a diagram of water crystallization, see fig. on right. On it, you can make an uncountable set of figures, and for inspiration, or as samples for templates, in Fig. below are photographs under a microscope of real snowflakes from a real snowfall. Is it true that human fantasy is far from nature? Experts say that 2 identical snowflakes have not yet been seen.

A word about boxes ...

When preparing for the New Year in advance, do not throw away small warranty boxes that are no longer covered by the warranty. They make excellent toys, see fig. Moreover, you can do it with surprises. It is then interesting to observe what kind of barter negotiations the "high contracting parties" then start up, discovering that he got the baby doll, and she got the model of the car.

... about eggs ...

Also great toys come out of bird eggs, see fig. below. It is best to take goose or turkey eggs, they are large and strong. At the poles, the eggs are carefully twisted with a gypsy needle or awl and the contents are blown into a cup or bowl; for an omelet or scrambled eggs-sister-in-law, in dough, cream, etc. it is good enough. And the shell is treated with PVA, like polystyrene, painted, varnished, sprinkled with glitter, rag fragments are glued, etc. The pink "bump" in the center, for example, is pasted over with colored popcorn.

... and about nuts

One of the oldest types of Christmas tree decorations are foil-wrapped walnuts. The thread of the suspension loop was run along the seam between the shells; now you can just stick it on. Both are not a hindrance to eating. Especially for this, the Nutcracker was put under the tree, about which P. And Tchaikovsky wrote the music of the ballet, on which the opera was later staged.

Balls

Christmas balls - an immense world in an immense world of New Year's decorations. And in the immense world of Christmas tree balls there is an immense world of paper balls, if we consider a ball to be a body of revolution in a smoothly curved surface and regular polyhedrons. We will now deal with all this immense in the immense in the immense, remembering: everything must be within the power of the child, and so that it can be done at home on the table.

From blanks

First, let's try to change the monotonous finished balls in our own way. The technique is simple, see pic:

  1. We select cheaper plastic balls, with a matte dull surface;
  2. We paint with white nitro paint;
  3. After complete drying, we decouple;
  4. How is it? How much does one cost in a store? On New Year's Eve?

Note: and if you don’t feel sorry for the money for a glue gun, and there is nowhere to put old beads, bugles, artificial pearls, then here is another option in the figure:

Now let's get down to the styrofoam. Here the options are much more diverse, see fig. below. Pos. 1 - you need a curly hole punch from the same shop for craftsmen. If from the Internet, then order ahead of time; we know how the parcels go on New Year's Eve. Next - pins with bead heads, pos. 2, and you're done. The suspension loop is fixed with a piece of a toothpick or a match and a drop of PVA.

Suddenly there is no curly stamp for paper, but there are pins and beads, it turns out a ball-colored hedgehog, pos. 3. Beads are strung on pins, and the tip of each is dipped into PVA before being stuck, to make it sit tighter. And pos. four? Guess! Chupa-chups with chopsticks bitten obliquely (to make it easier to stick). You can eat right from the tree, if adults do not mind. Or on the sly, from the other side.

For poses. 4 and 5, a glue gun and a workpiece protected by dried PVA are required. Decoration materials - cord and glass beads or artificial pearls.

From light bulbs

Light bulbs, as mentioned above, blanks for New Year's decorations are difficult, but grateful, see fig. Low-power lamps with a narrow Mignon base and a matte relief bulb, pos. one; consider that the balls are ready. Light bulbs - "candles" are also not bad, but if you do not remove the shtengel, after painting / varnishing, they should be sprinkled with gloss immediately after painting / varnishing, while the paint / varnish has not dried, pos. 2. Burned-out low-power housekeepers in double flasks-"cones" are made as on purpose for the New Year: all that remains is to decouple, put a loop on the base, close it up with papier-mâché, and you're done (item 3).

You can also do a lot of New Year's from ordinary bulbs. The easiest way to get penguins (pos. 4): here you don't need to be able to draw at all. Barbosov-Shrekov can also be done without artistic education - shades in the background are made through with a small foam rubber swab, and the line drawing is drawn with gel pens. In the same way, toys are created that require, in addition to talent, and sufficient skill, pos. 5 and 6. In general, a matter of taste and imagination.

Spiderweb balls

Spiderweb balls are all the rage right now, and in this case, she's not crazy. There are several varieties of them. The first (item 1 in the figure) is an ordinary cheap ball on which a plastic mesh is stretched, in which garlic and other trifles are packed in supermarkets. Let's add another ribbon bow - already something. In the same way as the same cheap balls, decorated with trimmings of tulle or organza, pos. 2.

"Real" spiderweb balls are made of glued colored threads, pos. 3, 4. It is best to take threads for satin stitch embroidery, but simple ones will go with additional decor. The technique is simple: the thread is pulled through PVA and immediately wound on an inflatable template smeared with petroleum jelly. After the glue dries, the template is blown off or simply pierced and removed.

For small Christmas tree balls-cobwebs, the template can be inflated, perhaps, only from a medical fingertip: it has a roller that allows you to hold the workpiece at the lips when inflating; without a roller, nothing will come of it. Gel and latex balloons are not suitable: so that they do not slip under the thread, they need to be inflated to too large a size.

There are plenty of devices for pulling thread through glue; one of the simplest - in fig. The glass allows you to economically use glue, and the tray does not let excess glue on the table. A glass is pierced with a needle and thread, glue is poured, pulled, wound. It is only necessary for the assistant to hold the “broach”, otherwise, if the thread gets caught, the glue can turn out onto the table, knees or chair upholstery. An alternative to the utility room is a piece of double-sided tape, they attach the tray to the countertop. You need to reel dexterously, because the thread impregnated with PVA dries quickly.

More about balls of thread

Beautiful thread balls can be made not only using the "spider web" technique. The method of making also one of the oldest Christmas tree decorations from threads - a ball-pompom - is shown in Fig. To pos. 5: Cut the thread along the rim with a sharp knife or safety razor blade. Pom-pom balls look especially impressive if the ends of the threads are tinted with silver, bronze or metallic paint in a contrasting color.

Paper balls and more

We now proceed to the immense in the immense - Christmas tree decorations made of paper. It's a whole big world; for example, the masters of modular origami create creations from it that clearly confirm that paper is one of the most wonderful materials invented by man, see fig. But we will leave these difficulties for later, and we will deal with what can be done, as they say, right off the bat, and that looks just as impressive.

How to make the simplest paper ball for a Christmas tree is shown in fig. Material - thick colored paper, PVA. It is not forbidden to paint, varnish, sprinkle with gloss. If the ball is made of glitter (laminated paper, plastic), you need to glue it with "Moment" or superglue.

Fishnet

The next in simplicity of manufacture, but not in appearance - are openwork paper balls; from them, in addition to the Christmas tree, a magnificent room decor is obtained. The larger the fishnet ball, the easier it is to make and the better it looks. The technique is simple, an example in fig. chosen on purpose very rude to show how openwork balls are tolerant of neglect of material and flaws in work:

  1. Paper circles are quilted with thread or (worse) sewn with a stapler in diameter. An even or odd number of them is taken depending on the gluing scheme, see below;
  2. They are glued in pairs in a checkerboard pattern until the whole "booklet" is closed into a ball;
  3. The loop is glued;
  4. The ball is being decorated.

And now about what you can achieve from an openwork ball if you do it carefully, patiently and with understanding. First, any body of revolution can be a generating figure. The main thing is that the preparation is bilateral, i.e. its right and left halves should be a mirror image of each other; quilting a stack of blanks along the axis of symmetry.

Secondly, the places of gluing must be precisely marked on the "booklet" by scratching with handles along the edge of the foot. With pens - because the places of alternating gluing are marked with 2 different colors. And, finally, you need to glue it carefully, putting a drop of glue on each joint. Squeeze until seized, not with clips, but with your fingers through plastic wrap. What can be achieved in this way can be seen in Fig. on right.

A bit of stereometry ...

Regular polyhedra are often taken as the basis of the Christmas tree ball: they look great with skillful decor, and it is not difficult to glue them out of paper if you know how. The very same polyhedra, suitable for the Christmas tree, without "impurities" of other flat figures, are composed of equilateral triangles and pentagons. Since not everyone knows the basics of stereometry and planimetry, we give their templates inscribed in circles, see Fig. The segments (wings) of the circumscribing circles are not cut, but folded back and glued together. The balls are glued with their wings outward, and the lampshades of the lanterns are glued inward (see below, about garlands).

The simplest regular polyhedron is a tetrahedron, a trihedral pyramid. However, the ball, which is already a ball, is an octahedron: two four-sided pyramids glued together with bases without bottoms. How to assemble it can be seen at the top in Fig. Even more spectacular are the regular 20-sided icosahedron triangles and the regular 12-sided 5-sided dodecahedron. A lot of methods of gluing balls-icosahedrons are described; dodecahedrons are somehow ignored. However, if you have templates inscribed in circles and printed in the desired size, it is easier and most accurate to glue according to the patterns, below in Fig. Coloring, decoration, of course - to your taste.

Note: from regular 3- and 5-gons, you can collect polyhedra with any, up to infinity, number of sides.

... and topologies

Curved figures of complex shape are already engaged in another science - topology. Not without applying it to Christmas tree decorations. Most of the "topological" decorations, however, are quite difficult to make, so we give only 1, but a very beautiful ball that can be weaved without special knowledge and experience. To begin with, you will need to print a pattern of blanks on colored paper (see figure) and cut them out.

The next stage is the layout for gluing according to the template, see next. fig. It is better to draw the template yourself (radii - after 30 degrees), using a compass and a protractor, and a larger size so that you can make balls of different sizes. The sidewall blanks are laid out so that their spouts touch the center and the corresponding radius.

Then, on the center of the "octopus", more precisely, the twelve-legged, carefully, so as not to knock down the calculation, stick a circle, pos. 1 on the next. fig. In the same way, they glue the second centipede, turn it over, put the first one on it and intertwine the "tentacles", pos. 2 and 3. As a result, a ball is obtained as in pos. four.

Note: if the "centipedes" are collected not from one-color, but from blanks of alternating colors, then the finished ball will turn out not from rhombuses, but from spiral stripes.

Hedgehog and vice versa

A compass with a protractor will also be needed in order to make a papillote ball. It is so called because its "horns" look like paper curlers-papillotes, which curled the style of the past. In fact, this ball looks like a hedgehog. How to do it is shown in fig:

  • Cut 10 circles and divide into 2 equal piles, 5 in each.
  • The circles of each pile are cut in 8 radii at 45 degrees, pos. 1 in the picture: 1st half, the last at 5/6 radius; intermediate - gradually increasing the depth of the notch. You need to cut accurately, so it is better to immediately draw smaller circles on the circles - markers.
  • The petals are folded into papillote cones and glued along the seam.
  • Each pile is folded in order of increasing the depth of the cut, with the displacement of the "needles" around the circumference, pos. 3, and pulled together with a thread in the center so that the "needles" are ripped up.
  • The two halves of the "hedgehog" are folded with bottoms and finally pulled together with a thread, pos. four.
  • The ball is painted, the ends of the needles are gilded, silver, sprinkled with sparkles, etc.

Good balls on the same principle can be obtained in a simpler manner. For this, many papillotes are folded from circles separately; better - from a silver or golden plastic film. The diameter of the workpieces can vary. Then they are placed on the table and aligned in height, trimming the tips. The next step is gluing to the base (large bead, foam ball or for ping-pong) with the points inward. It turns out a "hedgehog inside out", or an antipapillote ball, see fig. on right. Paper can still be decorated, but shiny is good anyway.

More paper

The basis of the next series of decorations for the Christmas tree is an accordion or paper fan. A small part of what can be done from them is shown in Fig:

Crafts on the top row will just fit old buttons and a little help from an ordinary clerical hole punch, and for the one below, you will need another ring from scotch tape, etc. However, the ring can also be glued from several layers of paper on a mandrel from a bottle, can, etc. In this case, the mandrel must first be wrapped with plastic wrap so that the ring does not stick. And to make it easier to remove, the paper tape needs to be wound on the mandrel not tightly and closer to the bottom or neck.

Note: the ring with small additions and coloring will go for jewelry by itself, see fig. on right:

You can also stick Chinese lanterns out of paper for both the Christmas tree and the whole house. This theme is also immense in immensity; for example, we give the simplest, see fig. below. Best of all, these look made of multi-colored glitter, which in this case is colored glossy paper or plastic film.

Cones, icicles, bells

Spruce and pine cones are often advised to be turned into Christmas tree decorations by painting and pendants, on the left in the figure:

But traditional New Year decorations from cones look much more impressive: the edges of the scales are tinted with bronze or aluminum powder (silver) and a bow, beads or small balls are added, on the right in the same place. Such decorations, in addition, according to all beliefs, are a full replacement for the bells on the New Year's wreath, see below.

Quite good icicle toys are made from salt dough painted with silver paint. Blanks are cut out of the seam straight or slightly swollen in the middle, with pointed ends, or in the form of an elongated spearhead. Then twisted into a spiral; dried by hanging.

Bells, except from plastic cups, are obtained from small PET bottles, for example, from ketchup. In fig. on the right - the original product, a blank for decor from it and how the bell tongue works. The "spindle" (thread for the smooth surface) is pulled through the dispensing spout of the cork and is fixed with a standard cap. You can also pierce it with a needle, but the cap is deliberately made under a papier-mâché face. The whole body of the bell hangs loosely on the top button. The bead, of course, would have been better served by a bead, but it was not at hand.

Garlands and beads

The simplest of New Year's garlands is the so-called. English, see fig. She needs the same paper accordion. Draw on it, with some protrusion over the edges, the desired figure. First, use a scalpel (better) or an assembly knife to cut the inner holes. To tear the paper, in their corners and, at some intervals, on the sides, they punch holes with a hole punch, and cut through the jumpers with a knife. Expand the accordion - you get a ribbon like the one on the top right in Fig. Below it are several patterns suitable for the English garland of stars.

The simplest of glued garlands is a chain of rings, at the top in Fig. on right. But glued garlands of paper fans look much more magnificent, two poses. under it, double (interception in the middle of the accordion) and single. Fan garlands are best made from corrugated thin paper, and from thick - chain ones, two poses. at the bottom. It is clearly seen there that the blanks for them must be bilaterally symmetric (bilateral). Cut them out of a sheet folded in half, this is like 1 element of an English garland.

Corrugated paper is also perfect for "furry" garlands. How to do them is clear from pos. below: the roll is unwound, stretching (stretch), folded into a pile-accordion (fold), then scissors cut one side along the corrugation almost to half (cut halfway through fold), turn over and cut the other side (flip + cut halfway on the other side). Then the accordion is unrolled and rolled into a spiral. To keep the "corkscrew", you can, by fixing its ends, a little, literally just a little, sprinkle with water from a spray bottle for perfume. It dries up - it will remain so. But, if you transfer water, it will creep.

There are also stringed garlands. One of the simplest ones can be assembled from small balls-books like openwork, only without gluing the sheets together. How - it is clear from Fig.

Also simple and effective is a stringed quilling garland, see next. fig .:

Christmas tree garlands, as you know, are also luminous. Modern micro-bulbs allow you to equip yourself with shades. The simplest ones are from ping-pong balls: the holes are turned with the tip of a knife and the bulbs are inserted inside. They fix it by sticking a chip or a piece of a toothpick between the wires. This work is quite safe, unless the garlands are homemade at 220 V. Then - let the master manufacturer ennoble.

Very beautiful plafonds are obtained from polyhedron balls, but glued with wings inside. What for? And from the wings on the sides of the plafond, bizarre shadows will fall from the inside. Finally, lampshades for a luminous garland can also be made using the classic origami technique. By the way, many Japanese do not recognize modular origami, with gluing elements, considering it an invention of armless Euro-Americans. Real origami, they say, should only be made of paper. How to make origami plafonds is shown in Fig. below.

Translation of explanations:

  • Repeat on the opposite side - repeat on the opposite side.
  • Repeat on the other 3 corners - repeat on the other 3 corners.
  • Repeat steps 11-13 on remaining 3 flaps - repeat steps 11-13 on 3 flaps where required.
  • Blow in the opening to inflate - inflate into the inflating hole.

Beads for a Christmas tree, which are not inferior in appearance to the factory ones (on the left in the figure), can be made from aluminum foil, salt dough and painted plastic tubes.

First, the foil is cut into squares from 10x10 to 20x20 cm, depending on the desired bead size. Bead blanks are rolled into balls between the palms, on the right in Fig. Next, circles with a diameter slightly larger than the size of beads are cut out of salted dough, they are glued to the blanks and smoothed. Beads are dried on a newspaper, painted with bronze or silver, or colored metallic. It remains to string together with the tubes, and you're done.

Rain and tinsel

The old Testament silver rain on the Christmas tree can be made using the same hand-made noodle cutter as the sequins, only you don't need to shred the “noodles” with scissors. The rain will be less confused and will last longer if you put on it not a baking sleeve, but silver or golden, or just colored, shiny plastic.

But the "shaggy" homemade tinsel is made just from an aluminum sleeve for baking, like a garland of corrugated paper. Then the ribbons twisted into a spiral will not unfold themselves. As for the tinsel - "sausage", it is still better to buy it. Long pieces cannot be made without special equipment; thin strips stick together and stick together. You can make short sections for the branches of a tabletop tree, but this is already another vast one in the immensity.

Wreath

The New Year and Christmas wreath is older than the New Years holiday and older than any of the current chronology. His lineage is lost in Druidic antiquity; it is only known that the ancestor was made from mistletoe and holly branches with red berries, and the meaning of the druid's wreath had such that it should not be said at night.

In Russia, New Year is celebrated relatively recently. Before Peter the Great, the count of years was kept "from the creation of the world" (now according to the Orthodox Slavic calendar 7524, there is also the Orthodox Byzantine; according to the Hebrew - 5775. How.); the beginning of the new year fell on March 1 and this day did not stand out in anything special. For the first time, according to Peter's decree, "with great noise and gulboy" and "decorations from the branches and trees of pine, spruce and juniper", the year 1700 from the birth of Christ was celebrated on January 1.

The Christmas wreath came into festive use in Russia just a few years ago. None of the world's religions gives sacred significance to the branches of coniferous trees; All beliefs associated with the New Year's wreath are pure folk art. In general, it is believed that the wreath should contain small red balls (a hint of holly berries), and it should be crowned with a bow with bells, see fig. higher. 2 bells - for a family, 1 - for bachelors and unmarried (who, nevertheless, can celebrate the New Year by no means and not alone); a couple of different sizes - for divorced and single mothers.

All this, of course, is pure convention. From what only New Year's wreaths are not made, see fig. below. It is not forbidden to use the wreath in the most frivolous way, see fig. on the left above, and the goblin with kikimors do not seem to like swamp actions against.

As for a real wreath-amulet and a talisman, it's easy to make it with your own hands: spruce branches, natural or artificial, cones, wire frame, balls, bells, bow, and - forward, see fig.:

If the wreath is large, with many symbols of abundance and happiness, then a light frame may not be enough, and the blank is needed more impressively. In such a case, see the video:

An original and popular craft for the New Year - a wreath of pine cones. It is also easy to make, see next. fig. The tinted cones are supplied with loops, pos. 1. For this, special kits are also sold, pos. 2, but you can do with paper clips bitten by side cutters. The holes under their legs are pricked with an awl, and by inserting a loop, superglue is dripped under them. It remains to be strung on a cord or wire, pos. 3, roll the thread into a ring, pos. 4 and decorate the wreath with a bow, pos. five.

About Christmas tree styles

Designers, of course, do not pass by a decorated Christmas tree. But the style is a complete mess. Obviously, the same style is called by everyone in their own way, or exactly different - by the same name. Nevertheless, there is still something in common; especially for small artificial Christmas trees on a conical base. They are very thick, so they are decorated in a minimalist style: 3-4 types of toys of about the same size. The canons of style do not apply to jewelry, they can be arbitrarily pretentious. In fir-tree minimalism, 2 trends can be traced: "warm", in fig. on the left, and "cold", right there. The choice of one or another is determined by the general style of the room design; finally, just the taste of the owner or customer.

In this lesson I will show you interesting master classes on how to make Christmas tree toys with your own hands. These bright and original toys will be the best decoration for our Christmas tree! The most long-awaited holiday is approaching - New Year! For some reason, just on New Year's Eve, I want to believe in a fairy tale and magic. It's such a wonderful time! The snow is sparkling, the streets of the city are decorated with colorful lights. Pleasant, pre-holiday bustle all around. Everyone chooses gifts, orders them on the Internet, but it has long been known that the best option is a handmade gift.

How to make DIY Christmas toys

If you have a large number of relatives, loved ones, friends, work colleagues, it is difficult to please everyone. In this case, you can give a souvenir, it remains only to make a choice. The best option would be - a do-it-yourself Christmas tree toy in the form of an angel. You can make it out of paper, fabric, beads, but I want to offer you an unusual option - an Angel from seashells. Unusual, exclusive and very beautiful! The manufacturing time does not take much, about 20 minutes. Well, let's get started?

Necessary materials:

  1. Seashells of various sizes: 1 large for the base (the appearance resembles a dress), 2 medium for the wings and you can take two small ones for the legs.
  2. White gouache.
  3. Pearlescent varnish (transparent) for nails.
  4. Glue gun.
  5. Bead thread or white satin ribbon for hanging.
  6. Decorative snowflakes.
  7. Brush.
  8. 1 large head bead.

Take a base. Glue the wings symmetrically to it behind the back wall using a hot gun.

We paint the angel with white gouache. Leave to dry. To speed up the drying process, you can use a regular home hair dryer. After the first coat of paint has dried, apply the second. Dry again.

Cover with 1 layer of pearlescent varnish.

Take a string of beads. Measure the diameter of the large bead. Cut to the required length.

Glue the thread to the top of the bead.

Now we glue the head (bead) to the base. We fix it.

It remains only to make the suspension. This is a Christmas tree decoration, so you need to take either a satin ribbon (0.5 cm wide) or a thread of white beads and glue it to the back of the toy base. Decorative snowflakes can be glued to the angel's dress.

Our do-it-yourself Christmas toy in the shape of an angel made of shells is ready. You can make several of these souvenirs at the same time. While one is drying off the paint, start gluing the second and third. Here is such a conveyor of New Year's gifts and it turns out!

Christmas toy - boot for gifts

What New Year is without gifts and souvenirs ?! I always want to present a gift in an interesting way. Therefore, in this master class, we will knit a New Year's boot for gifts, it can be hung on a Christmas tree as a handmade Christmas toy.

To knit a boot, we need the following materials and tools:

  • White and blue yarn;
  • Hook 3 mm;
  • Scissors.

Yarn "Children's novelty" is suitable for knitting. It is 100% acrylic. We start knitting with a sock. We need to form a 6-loop amigurumi ring. Therefore, we will make an initial loop and knit 2 more air loops. Then, in a 2p loop from the hook, we will perform 6 stbn.

Now we need to increase the number of loops to 24. For this we will knit 3 rows with increments in a row. First, we will simply increase each stitch by knitting 2 stbn into each of them.

In the new row, we will first knit 1 stbn, and in the next loop 2 stbn, in the 3rd loop again 1 stbn, and so on until the end of the row. That is, we knit with an increase through the loop.

Then we will perform a row with an increase every 2 loops. And add 1 more row every 3 loops of the circle. So we get 24 loops, knitting 6 increments in each row.

Now we will form the heel. Change the thread to white again. We knit exactly 12 stb. Then we turn around and do 1 VP. Next, we will knit 8 reversal rows. Each of them will have exactly 12 stbn.

Now we turn the blank onto the left side and sew the heel, folding it in half. We sew, performing stbn ..

We turn the boot back to the front side. We begin to knit the top. We join at the seam on the heel and knit in a circle with a blue thread. We knit, decreasing in 2 places. Where the heel goes to the toe. Right in the corners.

Now let's make a frill. We join with a white thread and make 3 lifting loops. Next, we knit 4 more stsn at the same point. We skip the loop and perform 1 stbn. Next, skip the loop again and perform 5 stsn in one loop. And so we will knit to the end.

Unscrew the edge of the sock a little and make a loop from the air chain. We will hang a boot for it.

You can decorate the boot by embroidering a snowflake with your own hands. New Year's boot for gifts and souvenirs is ready! You can knit several boots, and the children will be happy to look for them and get presents.

Christmas ball made of disc

Decorating a Christmas tree on New Year's - what could be more interesting? Consider in this small lesson a master class on creating a wonderful ball from a disk.

For work we need:

  • felt white and blue;
  • disk;
  • white cotton yarn;
  • glue;
  • decorative buttons and other decorations.

To begin with, we will cut out snow and blue sky from felt, the diameter of this should be equal to the diameter of the disc.

Next, we take hook No. 2 and white yarn, start knitting the back of our jewelry, it should have a large number of gaps, since thanks to them, the disc itself will be visible. For this we choose any pattern.

The back side diameter must match the disc diameter. Now we start working with the decoration of the outside. We glue multi-colored buttons to the felt.

Then we take a thread and sew on beads, they will imitate snowflakes. Here's what we get.

Now you need to sew two parts of the product together by inserting a disk into the middle. Sew and sew on top of the tape, also sheathe the outline of the disk with a white ribbon.

Now our work is ready. This decoration can be hung on any tree!

Christmas snowflake on a tree made of threads

Snowflakes are an integral part of winter and New Year's decorations! There are many ways and options for making such crafts. Today we will consider a very interesting, and most importantly, a simple way to make snowflakes from knitting threads. It is very easy and quick to make such a snowflake, so you can start working with your children.

To make a snowflake, we need:

  • white knitting thread;
  • 6 transparent beads;
  • scissors;
  • needle;
  • school notebook or book.

It is not necessary to make such a snowflake from white yarn. You can take a thread of any color. The size of the finished snowflake will depend on the object on which we will wind the thread. You can take a common notebook or book and wind a white thread. The thicker we wind, the more voluminous and thicker the snowflake will be. But you don't need to wind very much, because in this case the pattern of the finished product will be poorly visible.

Then carefully remove the workpiece and pull it in the center with a thread of the same color, tying 2 tight knots. That is, we grab both sides of the resulting ring and tie a knot.

Now we cut with scissors from both edges. We stretch them well with scissor blades so that the threads are then about the same length.

We turn the workpiece over and distribute the threads in about the same way. We need to see the center of the workpiece. We do this on both sides, forming a circle of threads. In this position, we place the workpiece on a hard surface.

We divide the threads into 6 approximately equal parts. You don't need to count every thread, just distribute it in bunches over the eye.

Now, stepping back a little from the center, we drag the bundle with a thread.

We do this with each bundle. Drag on one level.

In the center, we have already got a small six-pointed snowflake. Next, we will form a new layer of the snowflake. To do this, we need to divide each bundle into 2 equal parts. These parts must be aligned with adjacent bundles.

And again we tie the resulting bundles.

To decorate our snowflake, take 6 transparent beads. We pass a piece of thread inside. You can use a wide-eye needle for this if it goes through the hole in the bead.

We tie the bundle again. We do this with each bundle.

Now we just have to trim the brushes. We cut them with scissors.

In just a few minutes you can make a beautiful voluminous snowflake from knitting threads.

This beautiful airy snowflake can be used as a Christmas tree decoration toy.

DIY Christmas toys for decorating a Christmas tree in the yard

Original Christmas tree decorations can be made using egg packaging, water and gouache paint. Such toys will look bright and beautiful on a Christmas tree in your yard, delight you and your guests.

To make a Christmas tree decoration you will need:

  • Egg packaging (store container);
  • running water (from a home tap);
  • flesh-colored sewing threads;
  • plasticine for modeling;
  • scissors;
  • yellow gouache paint;
  • freezer.

Pour tap water into a plastic cup.

Use yellow gouache paint to color the water in the glass. Fill the second glass with clean water in case you need to add to the mold.

Pour the colored water into the molds, but not to the brim. Up to about half.

Close the lid of the egg tray tightly.

Put the packaging in the freezer. Let the colored water freeze into ice.

Cut the threads for the buttonholes. It will take ten pieces of fifteen centimeters.

In the next step, you will need a piece of plasticine.

Roll up tiny balls of plasticine according to the number of loops.

Stick the plasticine balls to the ends of the thread.

Flatten the balls of plasticine.

Place the tabs on the molds.

Now you need a second glass of water.

Add water to the molds to the brim.

Close the mold again and put it in the freezer.

After freezing the second layer of water, remove the finished toy.

Here is such an unusual Christmas tree toy.

You can decorate a Christmas tree in the yard. It turned out ten ice decorations.

Christmas reindeer toy on a tree made of ice cream sticks

The next toy is in the form of a cute deer made of wooden ice cream sticks. An entertaining process and amazing results are guaranteed!

Required materials and tools:

  1. wooden ice cream sticks;
  2. stationery knife;
  3. glue;
  4. paint and brush;
  5. decorative elements.

At the initial stage, you need to prepare a paper stencil. This can be done in two ways: print from the Internet or draw with your own hand. In any case, the picture must subsequently be cut out with scissors.

We lay out the wooden sticks close to each other and transfer the outline of the deer using the blank. A pencil is fine as a tool. Its lead fits well on a wooden surface.

After the end of the laborious process, all the elements must be glued together. The result should be the basis for the Christmas tree toy.

We begin the entertaining stage of decoration with painting a faceless deer. Colors range from traditional red to vibrant yellow. However, you should not combine more than two types. Otherwise, decorative elements may be lost against such a background.

At the final stage, we fix the loop and decorate the base of the toy. Ribbons, buttons, beads - this is not a complete list of items that can be used to decorate a toy.

A cute DIY Christmas reindeer will certainly surprise your friends and family with its originality. Using the described principle, you can assemble a whole hand made collection of toys in the form of Christmas trees, shoes or hearts. Creative inspiration and imagination!

Christmas snowflake on a tree made of glue

It is difficult to imagine a New Year's mood without snow, therefore we will dilute the home environment with snowflakes. They can be made from a variety of materials, from plain paper to wood and glass. Consider a method for making a decorative snowflake from glue.

We prepare all the necessary tools and materials:

  • glue gun;
  • gun glue (just a couple of sticks);
  • baking paper or foil;
  • any cream;
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • scissors;
  • sequins;
  • thread for hanging.

The whole process will take no more than an hour, everything is so fast and elementary that you can entrust the child with the implementation. First of all, we choose the drawing of the future snowflake. You can search on the Internet, or you can invent it yourself.

We pay attention so that there are no too small parts, in them the glue will merge into a regular blot.

We transfer the drawing to baking paper / foil, grease the surface with any cream - without it, the glue will be problematic to peel off.

We warm up the glue gun and begin to carefully trace the outline of the snowflake with a strip of liquid glue. We make sure that there are no separate lines left, they must all intersect, otherwise individual parts will simply fall off.

After the New Year's snowflake is completely circled, let it dry for a few minutes.

Dry glue is easily cut off with scissors, at this stage we cut off all imperfections (protruding drops, excess glue), correct the shape of the snowflake itself.

Now you can start the decorating stage. This requires glue. Apply a thin layer of glue with a brush to the surface of the snowflake.

Sprinkle with sparkles, white sparkles will create a more natural effect.

Let the glitter glue dry for 20-25 minutes, after which we attach the thread for hanging. That's it, the snowflake is ready to decorate the Christmas tree and give the New Year mood.

DIY 3D toy for the Christmas tree

Decorating the Christmas tree with the whole family is a real pleasure. The very preparation for the new year causes dizziness, the anticipation of a fabulous holiday. Each of the family members is busy with their own affairs, for example, finding gifts, recipes for the festive table, making New Year's decorations with their own hands.

Why not dress up the Christmas tree with toys made with your own hands from natural materials, in particular, a pine cone, on the eve of the New Year? A simple craft looks very harmonious on green branches.

We prepare for work:

  • pine cone;
  • clothespin;
  • tinsel;
  • plastic snowflake;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

In the craft, we will use the opened pine cone. However, absolutely any kind of cones, for example, Crimean pine, are suitable for the manufacture of this decoration.

And another moment. The work uses a plastic snowflake purchased in a craft store as a decorative element. If it is not possible to get such a part, it can be replaced with corrugated paper, plastic flowers cut from cups.

In general, there is something to think about at your leisure. How to make a bump worthy of a frame? The process of making the craft itself is very simple. First you need to glue the snowflake to the clothespin.

We glue a new decorative element of the craft in the center of the snowflake.

It remains to attach a pine cone on top. We do not regret glue. The bump should stick tightly to the plastic snowflake, not to the tinsel.

The decoration is ready. It turned out to be a kind of candle.

Of course, if you wish, you can pre-paint the cones in different colors, decorate with beads or sparkles. We will not do this. The resulting candle looks very natural, harmoniously on the green paws of our fluffy tree.

Here's the proof. Bump, like a bump. Nothing extra. Even the red color of the clothespin does not confuse the eye (although, no doubt, a tree would fit better here).

Children's Christmas craft - pasta Christmas tree

Children are preparing for the New Year's celebration - they learn scripts, poems, congratulations and make crafts on the winter theme. These can be window applications, paper garlands or Christmas tree decorations. We will probably focus on the last option. Our Christmas tree is already decorated with homemade bunnies, snowmen and other figurines.

Today we will make a pasta craft in the form of spirals. We propose to dwell on the simplest and most understandable master class, which children of primary school age can independently repeat.

We prepare for work:

  • Paper triangle;
  • a piece of plastic from a folder or binder;
  • pVA glue;
  • spirals;
  • watercolor with a brush;
  • ribbon or thread for the eyelet;
  • scissors.

We have a primitive white paper herringbone pattern in the shape of a triangle, scissors and a plastic rectangle from a binder.

Connect them together and cut out a transparent blank for Christmas pasta crafts - Christmas trees from plastic

Of course, sometimes there will be gaps between the details, but they do not spoil the craft at all. So even better. The tree clearly has branches.

It was the turn to pick up a watercolor, a thick brush and cover the tree with emerald greens. In order not to stain the table, we put a regular landscape sheet under the blank.

It remains to hang bright decorations on the thorny paws of the trees. Let's use PVA. These can be shells, bows, or the same spirals. In our case, the curls represent long candles. Let's paint them in a juicy red color.

Attach a loop to the top of the craft. It is better to use a stapler or superglue here. How else to hang a pasta toy on a Christmas tree?

The craft, glued to a regular clothespin, will hold onto the branches firmly enough. Then you can skip the loop.

This is how our decoration looks like on a real Christmas tree among balls and tinsel. Handsomely?

Children's craft - pasta Christmas tree

This Christmas toy is made in 20 minutes from simple improvised means.

The work will require the following materials:

  • the basis for the cone is a foam ball or egg from under children's toys;
  • velvet brown colored paper;
  • foam balls or cone-shaped blanks;
  • narrow loop tape;
  • glue gun.

Cut off a piece of 10 cm long from the satin ribbon. Cut out droplets from velvet paper - the scales of the future cone, about 1 cm in size. The paper can be absolutely any color, because New Year's cones differ in variegated colors and colors.

First of all, we glue the tape to the wide base of the toy - to the foam blank.

We begin to glue the scales from the side of the loop. We glue them over the entire surface of the workpiece.

To prevent the bump from looking boring, we cut the foam and attach the balls to the edges of the scales in the upper part.

A New Year's snowy pine cone is ready in minutes. Such toys will not only save money on buying Christmas tree decorations, but also decorate the Christmas tree and the interior of the room.

DIY Christmas angel made of paper

One of the most popular New Year's decorations can be called a Christmas paper angel, which can be made according to the proposed master class. Such an angel is done very simply and quickly.

Necessary materials:

  • A4 white sheet;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • glue;
  • sparkles of gold color.

First, we cut out 2 squares of the required size from paper, on which the final size of the future angel will depend. In our case, the squares are 9x9 cm.

Now we fold both squares with an accordion.

On each of the blanks, you need to make one fold in opposite directions. This fold should be approximately 1/3 the distance from the edge.

On each of the blanks, it is necessary to glue the side side, while the upper part will be the wings of an angel.

Now let's start creating the head. To do this, cut off a strip from a sheet of paper, the width of which is equal to the accordion with which we folded the squares. After that, we begin to twist the cut off narrow strip, periodically fastening it with glue.

To create a head of the desired size, several stripes may be required, we take as much as needed to make a proportional craft.

We make the remaining end of the narrow strip free, while creating a halo. We fix a strip of paper at the bottom and leave a small end.

We glue the resulting workpiece between two previously bent accordions.

We decorate our craft with the help of golden sequins.

Our Christmas paper angel is ready. How to do it, see here.

DIY Christmas decorations are the most original decorations. Still, there is no other such ball, snowman or animal. It is made in a single copy. Christmas trees decorated with homemade children's toys look incredibly colorful and unique.

Today we propose to consider a simple master class and answer the question: how to make a New Year's craft from a plastic cup? Of course, other materials at hand will be used in the work. But! The decoration will still be based on a yogurt glass.

So, for the craft you will need:

  • cotton wool;
  • tinsel;
  • a plastic cup;
  • sequins;
  • satin ribbon or thread;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

At the first stage, the guys cannot cope on their own. We'll have to seek help from adults. You need to make two neat holes in the plastic cup. In a second, Dad will pierce even holes with an awl through which we will stretch a satin ribbon - the handle of the future flower basket.

Fix the ends of the tape with small knots.

Now take a piece of snow-white cotton wool and put it in the basket. Of course, any other filler can be used for this purpose. However, we associate cotton wool with snow and the New Year. Moreover, it is incredibly light, and therefore will not weigh down the craft in the least.

Cut off a few short pieces from the tinsel, imitate the greens in the basket.

The time has come to grease each sequin with glue and lay out a fiery bouquet on the surface of the cotton wool.

As a result, in 15 minutes we received a colorful, light and cute Christmas tree decoration - a basket of flowers.

Let's show the New Year's craft from a plastic cup and improvised materials in close-up.

But the basket took its place on the tree.

This concludes the work. It's time to remove the remnants of the materials used in the manufacture of crafts from the table and go outside for new ideas. A walk in the frosty air always inspires creativity!

Christmas toys - do-it-yourself paper umbrellas

Very beautiful Christmas toy from an ordinary napkin master class

I propose to knit a small snowflake, which you can use to decorate the Christmas tree, attaching a loop to the snowflake. If you knit such a snowflake from thin yarn, then you can decorate children's clothes with it. This snowflake is knitted very quickly and easily. Even a beginner knitter can handle this job.

Materials and tools:

For knitting we used Karachai acrylic yarn of white or blue color. For such yarn, hook number 3 is suitable. You can use thinner yarn, then the snowflake will be even smaller.

Abbreviations used in the text:

VP - air loop;

RLS - single crochet.

We begin to knit the motive from the center. We carry out the Amigurumi ring. It was invented by Japanese knitters for small knitted amigurumi toys. We call it a sliding or magic ring: we lay the white thread so that the end of the thread is in the palm of the hand, and we wrap the working thread around the index finger (away from ourselves), insert the hook into the formed ring, pick up the working thread and, pulling the loop into the ring, we knit half-column. The ring is locked and you can start working.

1 row. On the ring we knit RLS, 3 VP, RLS. It turned out an arch of 3 VP. There are six such arches on the ring. We knit one RLS between the arches. We complete the row with a connecting loop to the first arch. We tighten the ring.

2 row... We knit cooking 1 RLS, 10 VP. In the fourth loop of the chain we knit a connecting loop, 7 VP, a connecting loop to the same point, 7 VP again we attach to the same loop and down the chain we knit three connecting loops. In the same arch we knit 1 sc.

To go to the next arch, knit 5 VP.

Then, in the second loop of the chain we knit a connecting loop, 2 VP, RLS into the next arch.

We repeat the ray: ** 10 VP, connecting loop in 4 VP chains, 7 VP, connecting loop, 7 VP, connecting loop in 4 VP chains, three connecting loops down the chain, RLS, 5 VP, connecting loop in the second loop of the chain, 2 VP, RLS to the next arch.

Repeat the drawing between the asterisks 4 more times. We complete the row with a connecting loop to the first arch.

Cut and fasten the thread. To use a snowflake as a Christmas tree decoration, it must be starch, pricked, stretching the rays and dried in a flattened state.

Master classes presented in this video article

New Year's Eve is the best time of the year for creativity and needlework. After all, it is the aura of magic that influences the boundless fantasy in the best way possible. No suitable materials? Do not rush to go shopping in a store or hand made store. Perhaps there is something interesting in boxes and chests.

On this we will say goodbye. I wish everyone a fabulous New Year's Eve! May the whole next year be incredibly successful, rich and happy!

Do you like to do needlework? Then you will love making Christmas decorations with your own hands! This is a pleasant and exciting activity for the whole family, which will not leave anyone indifferent - you will spend several evenings with pleasure, making toys for the Christmas tree with your own hands.

What we use for the material

What is required in order to make DIY Christmas decorations? You can use almost anything that comes to hand. If you want, you can buy special supplies (sold in creative stores), or you can use what is in any home. So what to prepare:
  • plain paper (good for making patterns);
  • pencils and markers;
  • plain, white and colored cardboard (you can use velvet);
  • sharp scissors and a breadboard knife;
  • glue (PVA or glue gun with rods);
  • threads and needles;
  • yarn of different shades;
  • various decorative materials - it can be sequins, sequins, confetti, colored foil, stickers and much more.
This is a basic set, but in order to make a particular tree toy, something else may be required.

Simple crafts from scrap materials

Of course, you have probably seen how Christmas balls are made of thread and glue with your own hands, but why not expand the range? We make different Christmas tree decorations with our own hands.

From yarn

This is a simple and at the same time spectacular Christmas tree decoration that can decorate any tree.

For manufacturing you will need:

  • yarn;
  • tailor's pins;
  • plate or bowl;
  • porous material (e.g. disposable tray);
  • cutting paper;
  • marker.
The threads need to be soaked in glue - the glue should soak the yarn well, it is thanks to it that the decoration will keep its shape. While the threads are absorbing the glue, you need to make a template for your toy - draw what you want on paper. It can be DIY Christmas balls, outlandish birds or neat little houses. You can also try to make a snowman, a couple of small trees and a star.

The template must be attached with pins (or ordinary toothpicks) to the porous material, and lay the pattern you need on top - first the outline is laid out, then the interior decor. Don't cross the strings too often, the toy should be flat enough. After you are finished, dry the product and remove it from the pins, and tie a loop into the eyelet. If desired, you can decorate with sparkles or rain.

From wire

How to make DIY Christmas toys in just a couple of minutes? Use the wire!

To make toys you will need:

  • two types of wire - thick and thin (thin can be replaced with bright threads, for example, floss. Pure white strong threads look very beautiful);
  • beads, beads;
  • colored tape;
  • pliers.
In order to make figurines or balls for the Christmas tree, cut a few pieces from the thick wire and give them the shape that your Christmas decoration will have. In our case, this is a star, but you can use any geometric shapes and simple silhouettes.

The ends of the thick wire must be twisted. Beads and beads must be mixed on a thin wire, the end of the thin wire must be tied to the future Christmas tree decoration, and wrapped chaotically.

When the toy is evenly wrapped, wrap the loose tail of the wire around the toy, and tie a ribbon in the shape of a bow - your toy is ready.

Another original idea:

Ribbon and beads

Who said that DIY Christmas toys must be done for a long time and painstakingly? Not at all. In just five minutes you can, which will decorate both the New Year's tree and the interior.

You will need:

  • beads;
  • narrow tape;
  • yellow, golden or silver cardboard;
  • glue "Second";
  • needle and thread.
We fold the ribbon with an accordion and string it on a thread, after each loop of the ribbon, you need to string a bead. The more "tiers" there are, the less they are - you see, the herringbone is already starting to turn out. When the ribbon ends, the thread needs to be tied in a knot, and a small star should be cut out of the cardboard. Next, you need to glue your Christmas tree to the star, and make a loop on top so that the decoration can be easily hung.

The interior decor made in this way looks very attractive.

From cardboard - in a couple of minutes

Some Christmas toys made of paper or cardboard take a lot of time to make, but not in this case - here you really need a couple of minutes to make an elegant hand-made Christmas decoration.

So, you will need:

  • ordinary cardboard;
  • some twine or thick yarn;
  • glue;
  • paints and brushes;
  • napkin or cloth;
  • varied decor.
Make two figures out of cardboard, glue them together, laying a thread with a loop between them - the blank for the toy is ready.

We wrap the tree in different directions with a free twine tail. After some thread pattern appears on the tree, you can start gluing with a napkin. You can tear the napkin into pieces, coat the tree well with glue, and glue it tightly with a napkin. This will give a nice texture to the future toy.

After the toy has dried, you can start coloring - paint the Christmas tree green.

After the paint is dry, shade the texture of the toy with a dry hard brush and white paint, and then decorate to your liking.

From bright shreds

You will need a sewing machine here, but if you really want to, you can do it without it. This is the best way to make Christmas toys out of cotton wool and fabric - just choose a fabric with a Christmas ornament, or use whatever is on hand.

Prepare some paper patterns, such as deer, stars, gingerbread men, teddy bears, letters, and hearts. Cut out the blanks with your own hands from the fabric, sew in pairs, leaving a small gap (for stuffing), and through this small hole tightly stuff the toys with cotton wool or synthetic winterizer. It is most convenient to fill with a pencil.

The patterns can be downloaded here:

By the way, do not forget - we sew on a typewriter from the inside, but if you decide to make toys from a dense fabric with kids, then it is better to sew with a decorative seam over the edge - the toy with your own hands will look simply charming and will suit even for a home tree, even for a kindergarten - Usually children make decorations for kindergarten trees.

From twine and cardboard

Christmas toys made of paper and cardboard will be much more interesting if you add a couple more simple materials to them. To make such a toy, you will need ordinary cardboard, simple paper or natural twine, a little felt or any other fabric, as well as plain paper, a pencil and a ruler, and a drop of glue.

The star template can be downloaded here:

First, make a pattern on plain paper, and then transfer it to cardboard. Do not forget that the star must be double. Do not make the asterisk too thin, it is better to make it from a centimeter or more. The twine tail is glued to the cardboard, then you need to gradually wrap the entire workpiece.

Place the thread as tightly as possible so that there are no gaps. In order to decorate the star, make a couple of leaves and berries from the fabric and decorate one of the rays. Your decoration is ready.

From yarn and cardboard

Do you want to make original and at the same time charming Christmas tree decorations with your own hands? Then it's time to make small gift hats with your own hands from scrap materials. This is a wonderful New Year's gift that looks cute and will keep you warm all winter long!

To make Christmas tree decorations in the form of hats, you will need:

  • a couple of toilet paper sleeves (you can just glue cardboard rings together);
  • the remains of colored yarn;
  • beads and sequins for decoration.
From cardboard, you need to glue rings about 1.5-2 cm wide.If you use a toilet paper roll as a base, cut it into several segments of approximately the same width.

The threads need to be cut into segments of about 20-22 centimeters. We fold each piece in half, pass the loop through the cardboard ring, and pull the loose ends of the threads through the loop. It is necessary that the thread was firmly fixed on the cardboard base. This must be repeated until the cardboard base is hidden under the threads.

All the ponytails need to be pulled through the ring so that our hat has a "lapel".

And now we pull the loose tails tightly with a thread and cut them in the form of a pompom - the hat is ready! It remains only to make a loop and decorate your toy on the Christmas tree with sequins and sparkles.

From beads

Making a minimalist Christmas toy is easy and simple - you need wire, beads and beads, a ribbon and a coin (you can replace it with a small candy, but it looks much more spectacular with a coin). Try to make this Christmas tree toy with your own hands, a very simple master class.

Make a loop on the wire and string on it green beads mixed with large beads - they will play the role of Christmas balls on our Christmas tree. After the wire is filled in, shape it into a Christmas tree by folding in a spiral.

When your tree takes shape, fold the free edge into a loop.

Cut off a piece of tape, form a loop from it for hanging and pull it through the Christmas tree, and decorate the free tail with a coin (the easiest way is to stick it on double-sided tape). We tie a decorative bow on the hanging loop - your decor is ready!

Christmas balls

  • several balloons;
  • cotton threads;

First you need to inflate the balloon - not completely, but according to the size of the future decoration. Mix two tablespoons of water, two teaspoons of sugar and PVA glue (50 ml), and soak the thread in this mixture so that the thread is soaked. Then you need to wrap the ball with thread randomly. The balls must be dried for several hours. After the glue is completely dry, you need to blow off the ball and take it out, and carefully paint the thread ball with paint from a spray can and decorate with sequins and sparkles.

Master class on how to make a DIY Christmas garland from felt:

Below you can download templates and patterns for different Christmas trees for felt crafts.

The Christmas tree is the eternal embodiment of joy and celebration. And not only for children. Adults, too, with poorly hidden trepidation await the coming of the New Year, when all the most cherished dreams come true. And for this you don't need much - just decorate the tree with cute trinkets. They say that it is this ritual that helps any desire come true. Moreover, if these are done.

A house decorated with tinsel immediately becomes warmer and more comfortable.

Of course, it is easier to decorate the Christmas tree with expensive purchased toys: huge glass balls, cheerful electric garlands, bright rain. No one disputes that such a tree will look very presentable and elegant. But is there really so much soul in a cold glass toy, as in a touching cardboard toy, made by oneself, and even with children's hands. Over the years, of course, both purchased and home-made toys will decay, lose their former gloss. But if you just throw away an impeccable, but aged factory decoration without a drop of regret, then a hand will not rise to throw away the toy that you made with your child. And then you will try to breathe new life into it, fix torn parts, glue or touch up. And not because you will be sorry to throw out a piece of paper or fabric, but because this naive product contains a piece of your soul, a fragment of your life with your child. By touching this craft, you seem to relive the moments of years gone by, which can be returned, perhaps, in such memories.

For this voluminous garland, you need to cut out several snowflakes according to the pattern and glue them together.

So, let's see what we can do. The simplest and most affordable thing that we can do is fix the old toys of our children and sew ribbons to them, if they are soft toys, stretch the braid through the hole or tie it to the thinnest part of the toy made of hard materials. Such a small toy will look very cute on a Christmas tree branch.

The most common way to make Christmas tree decorations is paper toys. To make a simple but very cute holiday toy-RING with your own hands, you only need sheets of colored cardboard and paper, as well as scissors and glue. First, you will have to work on a cardboard ring, which, however, can be replaced with a decorated one - pasted over or painted, an adhesive tape ring or any other suitable element. Then an accordion is made from a strip of white or colored paper, less than the radius of the ring, and glued from the inside into the ring-base. After that, it remains only to add bright strokes with the help of squares contrasting to the color of the base. They are folded in half and glued symmetrically into the folds of the accordion.

How to make Santa Claus with your own hands?

To make a Christmas toy with your own hands, you can come up with something of your own, unusual and interesting. The decoration in the form of a felt lamp or a magic snowflake made of beads, shining like a diamond scattering, will look original. And you can make a real GRANDFATHER FROST. To create this kind old man, who will become an original decoration of the child's room, you will need a paper plate, cotton wool, sheets of colored paper, felt-tip pens, watercolors, white glue, white acrylic paint, scissors and, of course, a good mood. So, you can start.

  • First, a paper plate is taken and painted white with acrylic paint. After the paint has dried, a nose made of a ball of crumpled paper is glued to the back of the plate, which is pasted over with shreds of white paper according to the papier-mâché principle. By the same principle, you need to make grandfather's cheeks and eyebrows, and after the glue dries, paint everything white.
  • After the nose is completely dry, mix a little white and brown paint until you get a natural complexion. The resulting shade is applied to a plate. A little red is added on the cheeks and nose.
  • It is checked whether all the paint has dried, after which the facial features are painted on with felt-tip pens. When a child does not really like to draw, or he is not very good at it, you can glue the mouth and eyes from the same paper bundles, paint it white, and then in a natural color: reddish lips and blue eyes.
  • Further, a hat is made from the red paper triangle.
  • On the tip of the hat we glue a small cotton ball, from which a pompom will turn out. After that, a wide strip of cotton wool is taken and glued to the lower part of the face. This will create the beard of Santa Claus. To make the eyebrows and mustache, thinner little strips are taken that mimic a chic mustache and bushy eyebrows.
  • After the glue dries, the toy is ready!

You can put such a Santa Claus on a postcard, or you can make a double one and decorate a Christmas tree.

For example, I throw out the toilet paper basics, but now I won't, because with their help and colorful pieces of fleece you can make such wonderful Santa Clauses.

And here is another interesting idea for a voluminous Santa Claus and also from cardboard bases. In this way, you can make the Snow Maiden and other fairy-tale characters.

If you are a skilled needlewoman, then weave Santa Claus from beads.

By exactly the same principle, you can make the head of a SNOWMAN, BURATINO or another funny face. There would only be a desire!

Another easy way to make a beautiful toy is to decorate a foam heart with beads. For this, a string of beads is fixed on the edge of the toy with a glue gun. Then the beads begin to stick, and they are laid strictly in one direction, forming turns from the edges to the center. The beads do not have to be the same. They can be selected in different colors and sizes. Having reached the middle of the heart, the bead thread needs to be cut and only small parts of it should be glued further, cutting off the required number of beads with scissors. After filling one side of the heart completely, you can move on to the other. At the end, a thread or ribbon is attached to hang the toy.

DIY Christmas toys: garlands and balls

On December New Year's Eve, decorate the house and create a festive mood will help christmas tree garland... And if you involve the whole family in making it, then the soulfulness of winter evenings will be ensured. So, one of the simplest, but very original options for such a decoration is the GIRLANDA, made of paper tassel pom-poms. To make it, you need paper of different colors and textures, scissors, rope and glue.

First, a piece of paper is folded in half in width, then again in length.

Corrugated paper garlands are very delicate and light. For this garland, you only need to roll the paper and fasten the strips together.

But this garland can be made in a few minutes. All you need is a hole punch, thread, glue and paper with brighter glitter.

You can make cute flowers from multi-colored napkins and put them on a thread. You will get a beautiful garland!

On the side without folds, an incision is made with scissors - a strip of half a centimeter in full length, leaving a fold of 6 centimeters. The sheet is unfolded and cut in the middle into two parts, one of which is set aside. The sheet is fully opened and a leaf is obtained, cut on two sides into strips with a whole part untouched by scissors in the middle. Then you need to grab the middle with your fingers and twist the sheet without touching the cut edges. After the center of the sheet is completely twisted, you need to bend it to form a loop and then glue it at the base. After stringing this brush onto the rope, you can start making the next one. This furry caterpillar is a fun addition to your Christmas tree decor.

The packaging material makes wonderful garlands, doesn't it? What do you do with the packaging for the new iron and microwave? Save it up and make yourself such a wonderful "star" garland.

From napkins and LED garlands, you can build a masterpiece in just 10 minutes!

Using the quilling technique, you can weave such a wonderful garland.

You can make such a fluffy garland from corrugated paper. I recommend buying corrugated paper today, otherwise they will take everything apart)))

Cheap and cheerful, and most importantly - with your own hands and with love.

DIY Christmas paper garlands

There are many types of garlands that are easy to whip up, remember, we already wrote about that. So on the rope you can string pieces of colorful fabric.

If a rope is threaded through the fabric triangles, you get a great garland of flags! If you make pompons from shaggy yarn and string them on a thread, you get a garland that the child will want to just play with, it is so cute and fluffy.

How do you like this popcorn garland? I personally really like it.

And if you string some berries between the popcorn (in our reality, rather a rosehip), then it will also turn out brightly!

Popcorn is strung easily and easily with a needle. By the way, such a garland is a good snack!

Well, another great version of the garland of mint candies. where without him)

And when the fabric strips are tied to a rope with bows, you get a very flirty garland. And the remnants of old wallpaper can also be successfully used to create a New Year's garland. And even if the carved paper napkins are folded in half, put on a rope, glued together at the corners, you will also get an excellent garland. A vintage garland can be obtained by cutting hearts out of multi-colored paper and threading them with thread. Such a touching romantic garland can become not only a Christmas tree decoration, but also an attribute for Valentine's Day. This symbol of love may well provoke its appearance on the New Year. Don't believe me? Check it out: invite your friend to help you decorate the Christmas tree, and, as if in passing, make a garland of hearts together. See for yourself that the pleasant consequences will not be long in coming.

And such a garland is easiest to make with a sewing machine. Sew the cardboard circles and it's ready!

The classics of the genre are bright New Year's chains.

If you decorate the most ordinary LED garland with snowflakes, then it will light up with a completely different light. Try it.

All ingenious is simple. Sometimes you should not be very zealous in decorating, but limit yourself to a minimalist star garland.

How do you like such a knitted garland of snowflakes. I already feel warm when I look at her.

And this garland is also made of fabric and thread. Cut out different flowers from fleece and decorate the room.

A riot of colors. Do not even think to say that you would not regret three times before removing such a garland from the wall after the holidays.

Such dIY Christmas garlands It is most convenient to make from ordinary colored paper for manual labor, but it is better if it is double-sided. For example, you can take red, pink and white paper. The combination of these colors will create a very delicate ribbon garland. Also for its manufacture you will need: a pen, scissors, a ruler and a stapler. Strips are cut from paper, the width of which is 3 centimeters. In order for your child to participate in the work, you can draw each cut line with a ruler, and offer him to cut them. Then each strip is folded in half. The tips are bent and stapled to each other. The same actions are performed with each subsequent strip. Each heart connects with the previous and the next. Work continues until the desired length of the garland is obtained. And so that the hearts do not stretch while pulling the garland, you can pierce the heart at the base with a stapler paper clip. So much for a garland of the heart.

In addition, or rather - most often BALLS are attached to the Christmas tree as decoration. These traditional homemade toys come in a variety of glass, paper, and foam. By the way, if a glass ball can quickly break, then a foam toy is very easily scratched, broken, crumbled. If you have such spoiled-looking balls, then they can be very quickly turned into a real precious piece of jewelry using a bobbin of small plastic beads and decorative cords - for example, milky white - for decoration.

From the tools you will need a hot glue gun, scissors and tweezers. In this way, you can not only update old foam balls, but also design not very interesting plastic ones. And the diameter of the beads and cords used can be very different. But, naturally, it is better to decorate small balls with a thin cord and a thread of small beads, and large toys can be pasted over with both large and small beads. Balls decorated in three cords or threads at the same time look even more original. First you need to untwist the finished garlands in separate threads. Then the cord is taken, and its end is immersed in a foam ball using nail scissors or ordinary tweezers. A little glue is applied to the section of the ball near the place where the cord is attached, and the tip of the bead string is attached to it. The next part of the ball is gradually covered with glue and slowly, layer by layer, beads and a cord are laid until the entire surface is completely filled. The excess is cut off, the end of the lace is heated in foam. At the end, using a thread with a needle passed through the cord, a loop is made to hang the toy.

How do you like this ball? A very entertaining thing that requires knowledge of geometry. Doing it is very educational. Try it.

First, prepare the base circles as shown.

For work, you need 20 circles of the same diameter.

Add them sequentially. Nothing complicated, it seems.

But such a funny spinner is made from strips of paper according to the scheme.

A foam ball or a blank sponge ball can be wonderfully decorated with flowers and invisible beads.

And such a ball is easy to make, but long. To work, inflate the ball, wrap it with threads, cover it with PVA glue and wait until it dries. Then pierce the balloon and remove it.

Also balls can be twisted from wire.

And this is how you can decorate a blank ball made of polystyrene or a sponge with sequins and invisibility.

Knitted circles can be used as toys, and then cup coasters. How is the idea?

And here is another ball with sequins. I really like him.

We often do dIY Christmas toys FROM BEADS. It really makes very cute Christmas tree decorations that can be hung all over the house, which will help create an excellent New Year's atmosphere, we wrote earlier. To make these adorable toys, you need red beads, ribbon and wire. So, beads are strung onto the wire, and then wire toys are formed from ready-made hard beads, for example, stars, hearts or Christmas trees. Special work is not required, but if you hang such toys on the Christmas tree, after having decorated them with ribbon bows, the result will be very pretty.

Returning to the same balls, you can try to make Christmas decorations using the decoupage technique. To do this, you need an aged glass Christmas ball, sheets from a music book, PVA glue or special for decoupage, glitter and silver paint, a special stamp with an inscription on the New Year's theme, ink, a small bell, a ribbon for tying a bow, as well as a thin string for loops. Although all these components can be replaced with what you have at hand, leaving the main thing - the ball, glue and napkins. The technique for performing the toy is very simple and does not require additional skills. First, a little white acrylic paint is laid out on the palette, then the sponge must be gently blotted into the paint and applied with whitewash on the entire surface of the ball. You need to constantly draw paint on the sponge, then you get a kind of snow coating. So all the balls are harvested and left to dry completely. In the meantime, you need to prepare napkins. For this, the top layer of the napkin, the most colorful, is separated. Then PVA glue is diluted half with water and the motif is glued to the ball. Gluing starts from the central part of the motif with a uniform advance to its edges. All motives are attached in the same way. In general, everything is done in a standard way, as with any decoupage, just with a greater share of glitter and decorations.

Decorating an old ball with new beads is a great idea.

Beaded snowflakes are a very delicate decoration.

If you want to make a ball on a Christmas tree from beads, then it is not at all necessary to be able to weave, you can just stick the beads.

Interesting balls are obtained from ... book pages or, for example, pieces of felt. So, on the scraps of the material you have chosen, the contours of the circle are indicated (you can circle any household item, for example, a cup). With a sewing machine, approximately 10 circles are sewn together in diameter. In the absence of a typewriter, you can cope with a stapler. The line must go exactly in the middle through the centers of all circles. Staples connect the faces in a checkerboard pattern: either in the middle of one joint, then closer to both ends of the seam with two joints. Etc. It turns out a semblance of a book unfolded at 360 degrees with oval pages fastened in two, now in the middle, now at the edges. This gives the paper toy the effect of a three-dimensional corrugated ball. At the end of the work, a loop is attached. Already such a toy can be cling to the Christmas tree, but it is better to additionally apply decoration with sparkles and glue. Better, of course, if there is a ready-made glitter glue.

Christmas snowflakes from beads

A spider-web ball looks very unusual and elegant. To make it, you need a simple balloon, any thread, good glue (best of all, PVA), as well as your imagination and perseverance. Naturally, the balloon is inflated to the desired size (according to the volume of the future decoration), it is well tied and lubricated with ordinary oil. Then the thread is wetted in glue, excess glue is removed from it, passing the thread through tightly squeezed fingers. Although you can make a special container into which glue is poured, and a small hole is punched in the lid. The skein is placed in a container, the tip of the thread is passed into the hole made and it is gradually pulled out, due to which it is dosed with glue. Then the whole ball is gradually entangled with this thread. In this case, you will have to stock up on remarkable patience, since the first rows of the thread can simply slide off the ball. The thread should be kept in a slight tension (slightly tense). After finishing the winding, the ball must be hung to dry. But you should not dry it with a hair dryer or over a heating battery, as this can cause the balloon to burst. The thickness of the thread can be selected at your own discretion. But there is no need to rush. Let the ball dry for a day, and then it will be necessary to carefully pierce it with a regular needle and gradually remove the frame from under the threads. Cured threads soaked in glue will hold their shape well. But that's not all: the ball can be decorated, again, at your discretion.

If you braid a large bead with beads, a beautiful toy will come out.

A bead is braided according to this pattern.

DIY Christmas toys: trees and snowflakes

Most Popular dIY Christmas toys made of paper - these are ordinary SNOWFLAKES. They do not require any special skills from the performer, no expensive material, no special investment of time. Everything is more than simple, if not elementary. For such a New Year's decoration, you will need ordinary paper - from white to colored, glue - it is better, of course, the same PVA, stationery clips and scissors.

The methods of cutting them out are very diverse: from simple ones, such as those that we cut out from notebook sheets in school years, to complex volumetric snowflakes. Folding with origami or cutting with kirigami is done according to special instructions with a demonstration of each step. If everyone is more or less familiar with origami, then snowflakes in the kirigami technique are made first by folding the square diagonally, then bending the corners to the middle of the triangle, which will divide it into three identical triangles. Then, along the folds and on top, several parallel curly cuts are made, the tongues of which, after unrolling the snowflake, will need to be tucked to the center under the base to create the likeness of petals. In addition, you can embellish the snowflake by smearing it with glue and sprinkling it with sparkles. This will make the snowflake even more beautiful and brighter. A card in the shape of a snowflake is made by ball-glueing individual parts.

Such a voluminous snowflake can be made according to a simple scheme.

The result was worth it, right?

Unexpected dIY soft Christmas toys are obtained, for example, in the form of a Christmas tree, we have already written about. To make such a Christmas tree from tools and materials, you will need:

  1. a crochet hook that fits the thickness of the thread,
  2. soft material (as for filling pillows),
  3. packing of white beads,
  4. remnants of three shades of green threads,
  5. needles and fine sewing threads, matching the tone,
  6. golden waxed threads.

First, according to the scheme, a stand, a tree trunk and a triangular base are knitted. When knitting a triangular base, a pattern is used in which each row is repeated four times. The tree is knitted with a striped one, each strip will be three rows wide. The alternation of stripes is carried out according to the scheme: green in a dark tone, green, green in a light shade.

So, first, five air loops are closed in a ring, and then knitting occurs according to the following pattern:

  • three identical rows of 8 single crochet (dark green);
  • a row of 8 single crochets (green);
  • two identical rows of 14 single crochets (green);
  • two identical rows of 14 single crochets (light green);
  • a row of 20 single crochet (light green);
  • three identical rows of 20 single crochets (dark green).

The toy is decorated with large white beads or beads as if it were christmas toys... Beads are randomly sewn to the base. Then the base is filled with soft filling material.

Tennis balls can be turned into wonderful toys by the easy movement of the hook.

The tree stand and the trunk are knitted according to the following pattern:
five air loops close into a ring, then three identical rows of 8 single crochets are knitted (brown). This will make the trunk of the tree;
then the base is knitted according to the same scheme as shown at the beginning of the work (dark green).

To strengthen the base, a circle is cut out of cardboard, the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the knitted stand. Then the tied stand is sewn onto the cardboard. The first row of loops runs around the trunk of brown threads, the second along the outer edge. All that remains is to tie the Christmas tree and the stand together, and a real New Year's beauty will delight you, and more than one year. And the real spruce can be preserved at the same time.
