Ranking of the best oils for perfect sun tanning and protection from burns. Tanning Oil: How To Choose The Best Dry Sunscreen Oil

Many people, while waiting for a vacation, ask themselves the question - "How to tan quickly, safely and beautifully?" Of course, you can use commercial tanning cosmetics, but there is a proven and safe way - natural oils.

Few people know that high-quality natural oils have a certain factor of protection against UV rays A and B types, help to achieve a persistent and beautiful tanning shade in a short period of time, as well as fully care for the skin during tanning - moisturize, nourish, thereby preventing peeling and other troubles.

For a beautiful tan - natural oils

  • What natural base oils can you use for tanning
  • How to prepare your skin for tanning

What natural base oils can be used for tanning:

  • coconut
  • jojoba
  • avocado
  • cedar
  • macadamia
  • sesame
  • rice
  • argan oil
  • wheat germ oil

First on the list is coconut oil. It can be refined (odorless) and unrefined (with a subtle delicate coconut aroma). Both are suitable for tanning, but it is preferable to use unrefined. Since fakes of coconut oil are quite common, be sure to check for naturalness before using it - there is a proven method for this: put a jar of oil in a place where the temperature is below 25 degrees. The fact is that coconut oil at this temperature turns white and hardens. If the oil is diluted, it will not solidify. After the oil heats up again, it becomes liquid again without losing its properties.

The protection rating of these oils is around 8 SPF. Therefore, when using tanning oils, you should adhere to the following simple, but mandatory rules:

  • Do not sunbathe between 11 am and 4 pm. This is really important! During this period, the sun is most active, and it is simply impossible to get a beautiful shade of tan without being burnt. It is really very dangerous for the skin, and no matter what you use to protect your skin, sunburn cannot be avoided.
  • When using natural oils for tanning, to obtain a beautiful brown skin tone, it is enough to be in the sun for 1-2 hours a day at safe intervals (before 11 am and after 16 pm), so do not worry - in this case, you will not burn, and you will return home with amazing skin color.
  • Even if you are in the shade or the sun is obscured by clouds, UV irradiation does not stop, so even then you need to apply tanning products to your skin.
  • Before tanning, do not use perfumes and products containing alcohol, because they can provoke an uneven tan and even age spots. It is also better not to use antiperspirants, as they are harmful to the skin while sunbathing. If possible, use natural crystal deodorants.
  • Don't forget to protect your hair! Before sunbathing, you can apply a couple of drops of the base oil to your hair with a comb. This will protect your hair not only from ultraviolet radiation, but also from sea salt and wind.
  • In the sun, be sure to wear a hat that protects you from heatstroke, which is no less dangerous for sunburn.

How to prepare your skin for tanning

Before going to the sea, in about 2-3 days, you need to prepare the skin for sunburn with a scrub, preferably natural - sea salt, brown sugar or coffee will do. It is better to repeat the procedure 2 times, but on the last day before the trip, do not use the scrub, let your skin rest.

It is also highly advisable to start using oils a few weeks before vacation in order to protect the skin as much as possible - after all, natural oils have a cumulative effect. After every shower, I put natural oils (most often coconut) on my skin instead of lotions - it moisturizes the skin and prepares it for sunburn.

How to sunbathe with natural oils

The oil you have chosen for tanning should be applied to the entire body and face every morning before tanning - it will be absorbed into the skin and will protect it throughout the day. This is believed to be sufficient and the oil does not need to be refilled after every bath. But you can renew the oil throughout the day if you like the way the skin looks right after applying the oil.

By the way, natural oils are great for soothing the skin after sunburn, so they are just universal. Instead of taking on a lot of after-and-sun products, just one 200 ml bottle of oil is enough.

Follow the rules of tanning, use natural oils, and get full sun protection and beautiful skin tone! Good weather! Published.

Tanning oil is the most natural skin care product for sunbathing, relaxation and excursions.

Not every body is ready to use natural oils, which form the basis of all tanning products. More often than not, a lower concentration of essential oil, moisturizing and nutritional supplements is required. The most important thing: natural oils do not contain ultraviolet filters, so staying in the sun for a long time, using natural (and especially essential oil) in its pure form, is undesirable and even dangerous.

Manufacturers of "solar" series products have developed balanced blends of natural oils with other ingredients. Most of them contain SPF filters to protect against sea salt and drying wind.

Let's look at the basic rules for choosing and using tanning oils, the usefulness of their ingredients, and also get acquainted with the best tanning oils that are relevant in the coming season.

How Do I Pick a Good Tanning Oil?

  1. The oil must have a natural base: Most often, the base in tanning oil can be one of the following natural oils:
    • coconut (dense, softens, well absorbed);
    • argan (moisturizing, antioxidant);
    • monoi (light, moisturizes);
    • peach (nourishes, evens out the skin, gives the skin an exceptional scent);
    • karite (nourishes);
    • sunflower (nourishes, regenerates; cheap, but fatty);
    • olive (restores, protects from burns, nourishes).
  1. Additional essential oils in the composition of tanning products always play a positive role. For a beginner looking closely at the composition of tanning oil, it is important to understand how each oil contributes to the composition. For convenience, we will divide oils into groups:
    • Soothes, heals and nourishes: marigold oil, rice, rosehip, peanut, watermelon seed, coconut, shea, baobab, mango, cocoa, wheat germ, sesame, green coffee, raspberry, tamanu, avocado, cedar seed oil, hemp, jojoba, macadamia.
    • Protects against skin damage and the effects of insect bites: oil of prickly pear, agave, Kalanchoe and aloe.
    • Protect from burns, scratches, itching: wild carrots, immortelle, iris, lavender, geranium, cypress, sandalwood, mint, basil, patchouli, myrrh, rosewood, vetiver, hyssop, blue chamomile, rose oil.
    • Enhance tanning: St. John's wort, cottonseed, sea buckthorn, coconut, Brazil nut, baobab, walnut, turmeric, citrus oil.
  2. Choose SPF factor suitable for your skin. For light and sensitive skin, you should purchase a product with the maximum degree of protection against ultraviolet rays. Please note that many filters only protect against UVB radiation, which can cause burns. The more expensive products also have filters against UVA rays, which cause dryness and aging of the skin.
  3. To make you feel comfortable tanning oil texture should be comfortable for you. Thicker oils, such as coconut oils, are absorbed better. More liquid, for example, based on olive or sunflower oil, are absorbed worse; but are more water resistant. If you don't like oily sheen, choose highly absorbent light tanning oils.
  4. Dry tanning oil applicable for the category of buyers who do not like oily sheen. Take a closer look at such oils with a polymer formula. The sand does not stick to the skin treated with this oil.
  5. Intense Tanning Oil sounds impressive and promising, but be careful! Such oils have a low level of protection against ultraviolet radiation (approximately SPF 2-8), and will not protect a white-skinned person from burns, especially in the first days of rest by the sea.
  6. High protection oils from ultraviolet radiation (SPF 20-50) should be used sparingly, since, according to the latest scientific research, they can lead to skin diseases.
  1. If you swim and swim frequently, you should consider purchasing a product with a greasy texture that is more moisture resistant.

What you need to know about using tanning oil?

  1. Please note that tanning products containing natural oils that enhance tanning (from the list above, except for coconut), cosmetologists recommend using in the evening, when the sun is not very beating .
  1. Apply sun oil to damp skin. Don't do it on the beach - prepare your skin at home or in a hotel. More of the product should be applied to the shoulders, nose, cheekbones, forehead, chin, ears.
  2. After returning from the beach, take a fresh water shower and then reapply the sunburn oil. A moisturizer is especially important in this case.
  3. If you have delicate white skin, you are better off purchasing two different products, one with a high SPF and one with a low SPF. Use a highly protective oil for the first 3-4 days. In the evenings and after getting the first tan, it is weaker. This way you will save your skin from burns and get a pleasant and beautiful effect.
  4. After swimming in the sea, check to see if the oil has washed off your skin. Refresh the layer as needed.
  5. Protect your eyes from contact with sunburn oil.
  6. During rest, gradually increase the time spent in the sun, from 10-15 minutes or more: the skin itself gets used to new conditions.
  7. It is recommended to sunbathe before 10 am and after 5 pm.
  8. Read and follow the instructions for use of your tanning oil carefully.
  9. Please note that some of the substances in the tanning oil can cause allergies: St. John's wort extract, sulfonamides, antihistamines. Test the product before you leave.
  10. Drink plenty of water and natural juices. This will positively affect your well-being and skin condition. Avoid dehydration.

Let's sum up

Of the 5 tanning oils reviewed, each received a large number of positive reviews due to its quality and versatility. Whichever sun oil you choose, remember to follow the basic rules of being on the beach: time gaps, alternation of sun and shade, proper nutrition and drinking plenty of water. Keeping in mind your health, and not relying on just one tanning agent, you will not even notice how the skin gradually transforms on vacation.

And your tanning oil will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to her health and beauty.

Not all people manage to become the owners of a beautiful tan. Especially if the skin is naturally thin and light. Often, prolonged exposure to the sun only results in burns. And even swarthy skin can be unevenly tanned: the face, arms and back look darker than the legs and stomach. What to do? After all, you really want to look like the queen of the beach and come from vacation "chocolate". Special oils for tanning will come to the rescue, which will not only save the skin from burns, but will enhance the darkening effect of the body and preserve the resulting shade for a long time.

The oil for obtaining an even golden tan is a real and most optimal helper, both in a solarium and on a sunny hot beach. By action, oils are divided into two categories: protective oils and oils - activators. Indeed, quite often this product is used in order to tan faster. Oil applied to the body makes the skin moist and shiny. Such a surface with a vengeance attracts the sun's rays and the tan lays down better. To obtain a visual effect, activators are required. However, such oils are not suitable for everyone; they are best used for people with naturally dark skin.

Red-haired, white-skinned, people with freckles should think about it and resort to another type of oil - a protective oil with a high SPF. Such an oily liquid creates a thin film on the surface of the skin - a layer containing ultraviolet filters. It is they who provide protection to the epidermis from adverse solar radiation, scorching rays and possible burns.

Protective oils and other types of skin should not be neglected. Among other things, oils help to maintain the moisture balance of the skin, thus protecting the skin from dehydration. Salty sea water, high temperatures, dry air and strong winds literally dry up the epidermis.

Oils have a distinct advantage over many other tanning products. They are not immediately washed off after water treatment. Therefore, if you decide to still sunbathe after bathing, you do not have to reapply a layer of protective or tanning agent.

On the shelves of pharmacies and shops, there is a wide selection of "beach" cosmetics, including all kinds of oils for tanning. Sunbathers and people who dream of a bronze skin tone can turn their attention to the following product categories:

  • Natural vegetable oils and tanning mixtures, including those prepared independently on their basis;
  • Ready-to-use cosmetic tanning products containing both natural and synthetic oils.

Both have their own merits.

How to use purchased oils correctly

It is a mistake to believe that you can easily get a tan; it is enough to spend a day on a sunny beach. In order not to yield to advertising beauties and look like a seductive mulatto, you need to know a few rules on how to sunbathe and at the same time use special oils:

  • The oil must necessarily contain protective filters for ultraviolet radiation. In the first days of being on the beach, especially for white-skinned people, it is better to choose products with a high level of protection SPF 30-50. Later, when the skin has already begun to take on a light golden hue, you can use an oil with a lower index - SPF 2-5;
  • Apply the oil to the skin 20-30 minutes before sun exposure. Before that, take a shower, and evenly distribute the oily product on clean, slightly damp skin. Rub it well. Particular attention should be paid to the face, ears, neck, décolleté. High-quality products are absorbed quickly enough and do not leave a feeling of stickiness and grease, so do not be afraid to stain a fashionable swimsuit;
  • If you only plan to sunbathe on the beach, then one application of protective oil will be enough. But in the case when a person repeatedly enters the water between the sun baths, swims, washes off the stuck beach sand from himself, then a bottle of oil should be taken with you. Although most commercial tanning products are waterproof, it is a good idea to apply a second coat of oil after intense bathing;
  • When you get home from the beach, shower, rinse off the oil, and apply an after-sun product to moisturize and soften skin.

Contraindications, side effects, precautions

When trying to get a tan, don't rely on an oily product alone. None, even the most expensive oil, gives a 100% guarantee of protection and getting the perfect skin tone.

There are a number of restrictions on the use of oily tanning products - these are special skin sensitivity and allergies. By itself, the oil does not pose any danger, especially since modern manufacturers are trying to produce hypoallergenic products. However, when buying a product, you should pay attention to the absence of hormones, various chemical components in it. And if the skin is too white and thin, then it is better to buy not oil, but a protective cream.

Precautions also, to a greater extent, do not relate to the use of oil, but to the very exposure to the sun:

  1. You need to choose the right time to go to the beach. The best time for this is in the morning before 11 o'clock and in the evening after 4 pm. The interval from 12 to 16 o'clock in the afternoon is considered the most dangerous, since at this time there is an aggressive activity of the sun's rays;
  2. The skin tans only for 50-60 minutes, that is, "one session" of the development of pigmentation lasts a certain time. Therefore, it is pointless to lie on the beach all day;
  3. Is under the scorching sun rays, even in a headdress and generously oiled, not recommended for people with heart disease, high blood pressure, during pregnancy;
  4. When taking a shower before applying the oil, you do not need to wash with soap. This increases the risk of epidermal burns.

Natural oils, their benefits for sunburn. How to use these oils correctly

Natural vegetable oils used for tanning have many benefits and advantages over similar commercial products. First, they do not contain flavorings, preservatives, or stabilizers. And this allows them to be used even by people with very sensitive skin. Secondly, these oils are more economical, they are always at hand. A few drops are enough to treat a large area of the body.

Synthetic sunscreen products containing UV filters can act similarly to estrogen, that is, provoke the growth of cancer cells and block the formation of an important anticancer compound, nitric oxide, in the layers of the skin. Natural products have no such "error".

Plant oily liquids are used to protect the skin from scorching rays and as tanning activators. In addition, organic oils are very useful for moisturizing, softening, and nourishing the cover. They also help after sunburn, are used as a treatment for sunburn: relieve itching, reduce burning, eliminate redness and flaking.

Natural oils used for tanning:

  • Olive. The oily olive product contains a large number of antioxidants, vitamins, phospholipids, so it can be safely used to protect the epidermis from the harmful effects of the sun. This oil helps to remove harmful substances from skin cells, including free radicals. The oil is perfectly absorbed and helps to acquire a beautiful golden tan. In addition, the terpenes and flavonoids present in the product significantly increase the body's resistance to various types of skin infections, which can often be encountered in places of mass recreation.
  • Sunflower seed. Not everyone likes this oil as a "beach cosmetics". It is more oily, absorbed into the skin more slowly, and as a result, sand and dust adhere to the body. But this oily liquid also has its undeniable advantages: it is considered the most environmentally friendly product of all vegetable oils, especially its unrefined version. And tanning with sunflower oil is quick and safe. This is facilitated by such a quality: the product creates a shiny oily film on the skin surface, which at the same time attracts the sun's rays and scatters them. Therefore, the tan is intense and even.
  • Coconut. This oil is the leader in absorption into the skin, it does not clog pores at all. Light, delicate with a pleasant barely perceptible aroma does not cause allergies. Perfectly nourishes and moisturizes the skin, helps to smooth and soften it. Therefore, this product can become an undeniable competitor to the most expensive commercial tanning oils.
  • Peach. The composition of peach seed oil contains many fatty acids that protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation. This tool promotes tanning and its fixing. The undoubted plus of the product is that it is perfectly absorbed, does not tighten the epidermis and does not require additional rinsing.
  • Walnut oil. This nutty, oily liquid is an excellent tanning agent. In addition to the fact that it allows you to become the owner of a flawless golden skin tone, this oil cares for the cover. It is lightweight and instantly absorbed. This product is often added to ready-made tanning creams and lotions.

In addition to all the listed natural products, a number of organic oily liquids and esters are also used:

  • Oils - tanning activators are extractions of rose, carrot, sesame, peanut;
  • Almond, avocado, wheat germ, jojoba, passionfruit, calendula oils will help to reduce the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation;
  • To reduce pain after sunburn and soften the skin, use oils of eucalyptus, sea buckthorn, geranium, sandalwood, iris, mint.
  • All of these oils can be used as a stand-alone product and in the form of various mixtures.

Recipes for making various oil-based mixtures at home

To prepare the oil mixture on your own, adhere to the following proportions: add a few drops of essential extracts to 100 ml of base vegetable oil, so that the total amount of esters does not exceed 15-20 drops. Mix everything thoroughly. It is better to start preparing a home remedy in advance so that the oils have time to completely dissolve.

Tanning mixtures

  • Recipe 1. Base oil: walnut (100 ml). Esters: Turmeric, Green Coffee, Wild Carrot (5 drops each)
  • Recipe 2. Base: pumpkin seed oil (100 ml). Esters: wild carrot, cypress, lavender (5 drops each)
  • Recipe 3. Base: peach and coconut oils (50 ml each). Additive: essential oil of ylang-ylang, calendula, avocado (5 drops each)

Sunscreen mixtures

  • Recipe 1. For 100 ml of peach oil, 2-3 drops of cocoa esters, rose, blue chamomile, argan, immortelle are taken.
  • Recipe 2. Add the same amount of oily jojoba liquid to 50 ml of almond oil and add ethers from the seeds of watermelon, cedar, jojoba, avocado (5-6 drops each).
  • Recipe 3. Mix equal amounts of wheat germ oil with macadamia pomace (50 ml each) and add 5 drops of essential oils: sesame, passionfruit, lavender, calendula.

Ready-made mixtures are placed in a spray bottle and used according to the same rules as ready-made tanning products.

Contraindications, precautions for using natural oils and homemade mixtures

When preparing mixtures of oils and esters, you can experiment to not only get a beautiful tan, protect your skin, but also create a unique scent.

But remember that not all essential oils are suitable for tanning. In no case should you use such pomace:

  • Citrus fruits (lemon, lime, tangerine and others);
  • Rosemary;
  • Cumin;
  • Verbena;
  • Cinnamon;
  • Bergamot;
  • Thyme.

These products can provoke the appearance of age spots and even burns on the skin.

All esters are strong allergens. Therefore, using them, you need to make sure that there is no allergic reaction. A test should be carried out before the introduction of each new essential oil. If there is a predisposition to allergies, then it is better to use only basic oily liquids.

Tanning in a solarium: which oils are best to use and how to use them correctly

  • Sunbathing in a solarium is considered more dangerous than in the open sun. But there is one advantage here, this kind of giving your skin a flawless shade is carried out under the supervision of a specialist.
  • When sunbathing under an artificial "sun", the skin receives a load tens of times higher than natural radiation. This is dangerous. Therefore, it is better not to visit a solarium without protective equipment. Otherwise, after a few sessions, the epidermis can noticeably "age": it becomes dry, elasticity is lost.
  • The salon will definitely offer professional tanning oil. His choice will depend on the individual type of skin, and on the time of the session, and even on the modification of the booth. The oily product is also selected according to age, the older the woman, the more hydration her skin needs.
  • Tanning under lamps may require different oils for specific areas of the body, as the shoulders and arms tan faster than, for example, the legs.
  • Can be used in tanning salons and mixtures prepared independently from vegetable oils. A dark chocolate shade will give the oils of sea buckthorn, walnut, St. John's wort.

A beautiful golden tan is obtained with the help of carrot oil, prickly pear.

An even tan in a beautiful shade is not only a gift of nature. First of all, this is the result of a careful attitude to your appearance. Therefore, you should not only know all the "subtleties" of using oil for tanning, but also strictly adhere to them.

Tanned skin is every girl's dream. It is believed that it looks beautiful, and, coupled with a sporty body, attracts the attention of men.

When summer comes, ladies put on their swimwear and go to enjoy the sun on the beach. However, many of them forget about such an important point as sun protection oil. Even if you want to get tanned, the use of a sunscreen is a must.

Description of the composition

Despite the name of the product, base oils are not the main ingredient in this product. They are not enough to qualitatively protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. But, of course, oils or oil mixtures will be part of the product - thanks to them, an oil consistency is achieved, but they will be located in the middle or even at the end of the composition list.

The sun protection effect is achieved due to the SPF factor(Sun Protection Factor). The more it is in the composition, the better the protection, therefore, the number from 10 to 50 is written on the label next to these three letters. In addition, thermal water, extracts of various plants and fruits may be present in the oils.

Advantages and disadvantages

Tanning oil should serve several purposes at once.

  • Nourishing and softening. Due to the action of fatty acids, vitamins A and E, the oil makes the skin softer, nourishes it with the necessary elements.
  • Moisturizing and smoothing. Tanning oil is used in large quantities for photo shoots in a bikini, as the skin after it literally sparkles and looks smoother.
  • Protective. Thanks to the oil, sunburn, pigmentation does not appear on the skin, the skin does not redden from prolonged exposure to the sun. The oil leaves an invisible, sometimes glossy film on the skin that does not allow the sun's rays to penetrate too deeply.
  • Antiage effect. The anti-aging function is due to the fact that the high SPF oil absorbs ultraviolet light, which causes the appearance of age spots, redness, irritation and wrinkles.
  • Used for intense tanning. The oils not only absorb ultraviolet light, preventing it from penetrating too deeply into the skin cells, but also attracts it, providing a golden even tan.

There were also some drawbacks. Oil products are harmful to apply on the face of the owners of problematic, oily and combination skin. They are comedogenic, can cause acne and clog pores. In this case, it is better to give preference to milk and sunblock. Also, dust and sand may adhere to the skin for some time after applying the product.

Views

Oils by functionality are divided depending on the degree of sun protection, and the determining criterion is the strength of the SPF factor. The lowest SPF is 2 (some natural base oils), the highest is 50 (suitable for people with very fair skin).

You should also take into account your phototype, which can be determined by the shade of the skin, hair and eyes.

  • Celtic. The owners of this type have pale skin, often freckled, blonde hair and eyes. It is better for the Celtic phototype of girls not to sunbathe at all, since they almost always get sunburn, and in hot sunny weather, use products with SPF50.
  • European Nordic. Light blond hair shades, hazel eyes and fair skin. It is also not recommended for the Nordic type to sunbathe - such girls get sunburn, although less often than Celtic ones, but still often. Tanning oils must have an SPF of at least 40.
  • Central European, or mixed. Peach skin, as if with a natural tan, brown hair, light brown. Oils representatives of the phototype use the most common - SPF30, as they sunbathe well and rarely burn.

  • Mediterranean, or South European. Distinctive features - olive skin, dark shades of curls and eyes. Representatives of this type practically cannot get burned, the tan lays down evenly. Just like the Central European, the Mediterranean type will suffice with SPF30 or even 15-20, there is not much difference.
  • Indonesian, or Middle Eastern. Dark skin without freckles, dark hair and eyes. Most often found in the East. Representatives of the type tan well, which is not always necessary with an already bronze skin color. SPF20 or even 10 will be enough.
  • African. Very dark skin, as this is a type of Negroid race. Despite the fact that ladies with such skin never get sunburn and cannot get tan due to their skin color, they also need to protect themselves from the effects of the sun - oil with SPF10 or a regular base will suffice.

How to do it at home?

Before using ordinary vegetable oil as a tanning agent, you need to take into account that its SPF does not exceed 10. This will not be enough for blond and girls with peach skin, but it will be just right for dark-skinned ones.

You can use coconut oil as a homemade natural tanning oil. It was popular back in the 60s of the last century, and its popularity continues to this day.

The SPF of coconut oil is about 8-10. It can be used both before and after sunbathing for girls with an African phototype. In addition to its protective properties, the oil promotes an even tan, makes the skin supple, firm and soft, therefore it is quite suitable for daily care, not only in the sunny season.

You can buy coconut oil at a drug store, health food store, or online. It is also used for hair, lips, nails, but it should not be used for the skin of the face - it is too heavy. Also forget about it if you have an individual coconut intolerance.

In addition to coconut, you can pay attention to extra virgin olive oil, shea, another name - shea, argan, macadamia.

The recipe for making tanning oil with your own hands is extremely simple. You need to apply a little nutritious oil on your palms, rub and massage it over the skin of the body. Likewise, you can use base oil as a burn-healer. It heals not only sunburns, but also household ones, as it accelerates regeneration and softens the skin.

In no case should you use essential oils, especially citrus fruits: they are photosensitive, when exposed to the sun, they can give your skin pigmentation, aggravate acne, cause flaking and itching.

How to use it correctly?

The main thing to know before purchasing oil is how to use it and how to choose it. You should choose according to your skin tone and phototype - the lighter the skin, the higher the SPF you need to take. And since the filters that protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation (UV) are depleted with age, after 35 years the SPF should also be increased.

You need to apply the oil 20-30 minutes before sun exposure. The result from applying the product directly on the beach will be almost zero, since the filters do not take effect immediately. After bathing, you do not need to reapply the oil - it is created according to a hydrophilic formula, it is not washed off with water, but it should be renewed every two hours under the scorching sun.

Do not leave a tube of oil in the open sun and do not let direct sunlight fall on it - hide it in a bag or put it on a closed shelf to avoid spoiling.

Even using an oil with a high sun protection factor, you should not be in the sun for a long time, especially if it is around noon, when the UV rays are especially active.
