Chicken nuggets at home

Chicken nuggets are easy to prepare at home; they will be nuggets made from natural chicken fillet without any preservatives or taste improvers. This product can easily be given to children, unlike store-bought nuggets. Homemade chicken nuggets are made from pre-marinated chicken, so they are very soft and juicy. Plus, chicken nuggets at home turn out much tastier than store-bought ones.

Compound:

  • Chicken breast – 600 g
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Ketchup – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Breadcrumbs – about 70-80 g
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Spices – to taste (for example, dried dill, parsley, oregano, basil)

Preparation:

Wash the chicken breast, remove membranes and excess fat. Cut the chicken breast into medallions 1-1.5 cm thick, cutting it crosswise. Cut large pieces in half.

Add mayonnaise, ketchup, pepper and spices to the chicken breast. Ketchup will add a special piquancy and sweetness to the nuggets. Don't add salt, it will draw moisture out of the chicken and it will be dry.

Stir the chicken thoroughly and leave to marinate for at least 40 minutes in the refrigerator. I usually marinate for about two hours, which results in a very tender chicken.

Once the chicken is marinated, add salt just before frying the nuggets. Place some of the breadcrumbs on a plate and dip each piece of chicken in turn.

Heat more vegetable oil in a frying pan and place the nuggets.

Fry the nuggets on each side over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Then reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and fry the chicken nuggets for another 5 minutes. Periodically add oil to the pan to form an even golden crust. So fry all the nuggets in 3-4 batches. The number of passes depends on the size of the pan.

Chicken nuggets are ready, serve them hot with your choice of sauce or side dish. So, making chicken nuggets at home is not at all difficult.

Bon appetit!
