How to relax on May holidays

May holidays are the time for outdoor recreation. At this time of the year, warm weather is already setting in the street, flowers and trees are blooming.

Fans of outdoor activities can go with family or friends to the river, to the forest or to the country house. There you can cook food on fire, play games, sing songs with a guitar.

Those who want to relax in the city can arrange a cultural and entertainment program: go to the cinema or theater, visit museums or exhibitions, organize shopping.

Travel enthusiasts can plan a trip to another city in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Suzdal, Yalta, or organize a foreign tour to Turkey, the Czech Republic, Georgia, France, Italy.

On official holidays (May 1 and 9), residents of the cities are given the opportunity to taste concerts with the participation of famous performers, which take place on the squares.

It's nice to plan things in advance, especially when it comes to holidays. For example, knowing in advance how we are resting for the New Year 2018 is useful in order to plan the New Year holidays: go with your family to relax in warmer climes or go skiing. The government has already determined how much we will rest next year.

We are already used to the fact that after the New Year a week of holidays awaits us, this is the time when you can visit relatives, visit old friends or take a break from your office somewhere in a house on the edge of a snowy forest or a warm seashore. This time, the New Year's weekend starts on December 30, and all because December 31 falls on a Sunday. Finally, many will have the opportunity to slowly prepare for the holiday. Even those who work on Saturdays will be able to devote the entire day to preparations. If you calculate how many days the holidays will last, it will come out as much as 10 days. Workers in accordance with the six-day work schedule will celebrate 9 days, which is also not bad. The nine-day vacation was in the current year 2017. In general, the production calendar looks like this:

Thanks to the law of the Russian Federation on the transfer of holidays if they fall on a day off, i.e. Saturday or Sunday, we are waiting for some more good news - the transfer of holidays. Russia is one of the few states that adhere to this practice. In particular, January 6 and 7 are holidays, from 6 to 7 the entire Orthodox population celebrates the holy feast of the Nativity of Christ. These days fall, respectively, on Saturday and Sunday, therefore, according to the law, they join other holidays: January 6 is transferred to March 9, and January 7 to May 2.

In February there will be one holiday - February 23, since recently it has been a weekend. It will fall on Friday, so we will officially rest for 3 days in a row - February 23, 24 and 25 - this is for those who do not work on Saturday and Sunday.

In March, as already noted, March 9 will be a day off, thanks to the transfer of January 6, so you can celebrate International Women's Day for 4 days: from March 8 to March 11 inclusive.

In April, the weekend is expected to be postponed. Due to the fact that May 1 and 2 are Tuesday and Wednesday, after the weekend of April 28 and 29, the working population would have to go to their posts on April 30, but this will not happen, as the government extended the pre-holiday working week, making Saturday a work day afternoon. The day off has been moved to April 30, so a four-day vacation will begin on April 29, which will last until May 2 inclusive.

Of course, we also remember Victory Day - May 9th. The memorable date falls in the middle of the working week, and the day will be a day off.

However, the pleasures don't end there. The fact is that in 2018 there will be more holidays classified as official days off:

  • June 9 - Day of Russia;
  • November 4 - National Unity Day.

As it turned out, they also fall on the weekend, so they are postponed: June 9 (Saturday) is moved to June 11 (Monday), so we rest from 9 to 11, and November 4 (Sunday) - to November 5 (Monday): we will celebrate from 3 to 5 November.

But that's not all. The government has already taken care of the New Year holidays in 2019. It is already known that December 29 will become a working day, and the day off will be moved to Monday December 31, so in 2019 the winter holidays will also begin earlier: not from January 1, but from December 30, like in 2018. But until what date exactly the New Year holidays of 2019 will last, it will be known later.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation has prepared a draft transfer of days off in 2018. It differs from the schedule according to which the Russians lived in 2017. Details - in the material Federal News Agency.

How to relax on New Year's Eve in 2018

In 2017, December 30, which is considered a working day, successfully fell on Saturday, so we can consider it the beginning of a long New Year's vacation. Official holidays in late December - early January will be extended from December 30, 2017 to January 8, 2017, which is 10 days.

Postponement of holidays in January 2018

Next year, as well as this year, during the New Year holidays, two official holidays coincide with days off. That is why the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation proposes to postpone these days, adding a bonus to other holidays. And here's what happens:

  • day off 6th January(Saturday) may be rescheduled for 9th of March(Friday);
  • day off Jan. 7(Sunday) may be rescheduled for May 2(Wednesday).

As stated in the text of the document of the Ministry of Labor, these transfers will be made in accordance with the second part of Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

Recall that on January 7, Russia celebrates the second most important (after Easter) Orthodox holiday - Nativity.

Weekend changes in 2018

The main change compared to 2017 is not only that officials are proposing to increase the number of days off in March and May due to two days that fall on the January holidays.

Officials also propose to organize the postponement of the weekend from April 28, the 9th of June and December 29th(these three days fall on Saturday) - on April 30, June 11 and Dec. 31(that's Mondays). The Ministry of Labor is confident that such changes will help organizations and companies plan their working hours in advance. So, it will be convenient for the inhabitants of the country.

How do we relax in the spring

Officials in 2018, following the calendar, are preparing us a long weekend. So, in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russians will be able to rest for three days, and in honor of International Women's Day on March 8 - even four.

Before the Holiday of Spring and Labor, Russians will also be rewarded with a good mini-vacation - from April 29 to May 2. At the same time, Victory Day, although it is a day off, but the days standing next to it are not. And on May 8 and May 10, the inhabitants of our country will have to work hard.

How to relax in summer and autumn

In the summer, the time for vacations begins: if one of the Russians is deprived of such happiness, then it remains for him to console himself with the weekend. Both ordinary and unscheduled - in honor of the Day of Russia. In 2018, the Ministry of Labor proposes to make the weekend from June 10 to 12.

Also, three days will be allotted to the inhabitants of Russia and in November - on the occasion of the Day of National Unity. From November 3 to 5, people will have the opportunity to escape from the bustle of work and have a little rest.

Reaction to the new calendar

The reaction of social networks to the new schedule is still restrained. Users simply share information. Silent for now and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which is known for its harsh statements regarding the schedule of rest of Russians.

So, a few years ago, he proposed canceling the New Year holidays, making January 2 a working day. According to him, the best gift for the Russians would be the complete abolition of the long-running New Year holidays. However, other deputies were able to defend the holiday calendar, adopted in the mid-2000s and giving the Russians long winter holidays.

A little later, Zhirinovsky softened his position: all holidays should be removed, leaving only three days off (January 1, May 9 and June 12). Instead, he proposed to give the Russians 30 days of vacation annually, as well as 15 days when they can take a break in excess of this schedule. Individually, independently, without general festivities.

Official holidays in Russia in 2018

Let's summarize. If the proposal of the Ministry of Labor is approved, then the Russians will be able to rest on the following dates:

  • New Year holidays and Christmas (December 30, 2017 - January 8, 2018);
  • weekend in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day (February 23-25);
  • International Women's Day weekend (March 8-11);
  • weekend in honor of the Holiday of Spring and Labor (April 29 - May 2);
  • Day off in honor of Victory Day (May 9);
  • weekend in honor of the Day of Russia (June 10–12);
  • weekend in honor of National Unity Day (November 3–5).

In November, the Russian Federation celebrates the national holiday Day of National Unity. In this regard, the Russians receive an additional day off.

Public holidays in November

In November, Russia celebrates 1 public holiday - National Unity Day (November 4). It is included in the Days of Military Glory of the Russian Federation. Timed to coincide with the victory of the people's militia over the Polish invaders in 1612. 2018 marks the 14th time. This is an official day off (Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

An exception is, perhaps, the city of St. Petersburg, in which annually in the summer, at the end of June, a large-scale holiday-festival of school graduates "" is held. Based on the convenience of holding festive events, the date of the holiday is assigned to the weekend (usually Saturday) closest to the longest white night.

When is the 2020 High School Alumni Reunion Evening?

In 2020, the evening of the meeting of school graduates will be held February 1, 2020 .

The evening of the reunion is also sometimes referred to as Homecoming Day, since the activities begin "before dawn", during the daytime. But gatherings with former school friends invariably drag on and end in the evening, and sometimes late at night.

What years (issues) are found in schools in 2020:

According to tradition, graduates gather for the first evening of the meeting in a year after high school, and beyond on anniversaries, multiples of five (every 5 years).

In 2020 it will be:

* 2019 release - 1 year.

* 2015 release - 5 years.

* 2010 release - 10 years.

* 2005 release - 15 years.

* 2000 issue - 20 years.

* 1995 release - 25 years.

* 1990 issue - 30 years.

* 1985 issue - 35 years.

* 1980 issue - 40 years.

* 1975 issue - 45 years.
* 1970 issue - 50 years.

When university graduates gather for reunion evenings:

Unlike former classmates, former classmates hold their meetings in the summer. There is no single date for meetings of university graduates, so each higher education institution chooses it independently.

In 2020, this will be one of the Saturdays from June to September.

How are the meetings going?

On the first Saturday of February (in 2020 - February 1), if you graduated from school last year, or your graduation is anniversary (i.e., a multiple of five years have passed since graduation), you must come to your home school in person.

First you need to know the time of the beginning of the festive events. Usually, an announcement with the date and time of the start of the official part is posted on the official website of the educational institution. Information is also disseminated through social networks in which former classmates communicate.

The "heroes of the occasion" are gathered in the assembly hall, where a festive event is held for them. Pupils who have not finished school yet speak to the audience: they read poetry, sing songs, play funny scenes "a la Yeralash". Congratulatory speeches are made by the director and teachers. At the end of the official part, former students are asked to come up on stage and say a few words about themselves and their favorite school.

After the solemn part is over, the celebration moves to the classrooms, where classmates gather separately together with their former class teachers. Not without gifts - it is customary to chip in in advance and give the class teacher flowers and a symbolic (and sometimes valuable) gift. It would not be superfluous to thank him for the work and the years spent on you.

Homecoming evening is a time of memories, so be sure to bring school photos or photo albums with you to help you remember the best moments from school life.

There are schools that are loyal to the long gatherings of former students in the classroom with food and liquor. However, you should not abuse such kindness, especially since it can be significantly limited in time. It is best to continue the celebration in a cafe or restaurant. The main thing is to take care of booking a hall or a table of the required size in advance, since there are no empty seats in such establishments on the date of the evening meetings.
