Which fairy tale is best suited for staging it in kindergarten? Of course, REPKA. There are many heroes here, and few actions, and there are almost no words. Just for the younger kindergarten group.

And small children do not like to wear masks or incomprehensible costumes.

Therefore, it is easiest to make headband masks, crown masks.

The mask is put on the head of the child and does not close his eyes or ears.

Masks must be printed on a color printer and sewn to the edges with an elastic band or even just glue a strip of paper. And the show can begin.

The fairy tale itself and the coloring pages for it can be found on this one.

Carnival children's masks made of paper in our minds are closely associated with morning performances in kindergarten, New Year trees, holidays, when you can become anyone: a bunny, a wolf, a bear, etc. Moreover, to designate the image, it is not necessary to completely cover the face with a carefully drawn muzzle of the beast: there are enough symbols that you can do with your own hands.

For example, paper chicken masks can depict a beak and muzzle. Do-it-yourself paper carnival masks for children today are not a problem at all. They can be used for everyday role-playing games, and for performances during the holidays in kindergarten, and even for finger games, arrange a home theater.

What are they needed for?

Why do children need carnival masks?

Some psychologists consider theatrical performances in childhood a bad game, arguing that children learn to lie and hide their true face behind a mask in the broader sense of the word.

However, wearing paper carnival masks, depicting fairy tale characters, kids are not inclined to lie: they believe that they really are some kind of animal or fairy tale hero.

Therefore, do-it-yourself paper carnival masks, and in a broader sense - role-playing games and theater - contribute to the development of children's creative and artistic abilities, and not the degradation of consciousness. Based on them, a theater for young children can be arranged in kindergarten.

Such a theater will contribute to the development of speech and creative abilities. The theater can be arranged on the basis of a kindergarten: children put on hand-made carnival masks and present a simple plot based on their favorite fairy tales for the holidays. Parents will surely enjoy watching a small performance.

What exactly improves in the child the use of masks for children and their implementation with their own hands in the educational process?

First of all, imagination. To play a character, you need to imagine him, understand how he speaks, acts. Carnival masks, as an element of role-playing games, develop speech, making it intonation rich and varied, along with acting data, facial expressions, gestures, and movements are enriched. If you use handmade masks in finger games, you develop fine motor skills that are extremely useful for the brain. In such games, the kid himself acts as the director of the mini-performance, creating the plot of the performance and applying the skills of the logical connection of phenomena. Even an adult, putting on a mask, immediately feels the atmosphere of a holiday, extravaganza, not to mention children.

How to do it yourself?

If you decide to arrange a home theater or are going to a matinee, you can make carnival masks for children out of paper with your own hands. This does not require unique skills and abilities.

If you are good at sewing yourself, then make a fabric mask by cutting it out according to the pattern, and eyes, nose, etc. make from improvised means (buttons, ribbons, shreds). If you rarely hold a needle in your hands, we offer the simplest option: paper masks for children. All of us adults probably know how to use scissors and glue. On our website, we offer you to print templates and pictures of some masks. You can also cut out pictures from colored paper. Glue eyes, nose, mouth. If you had to print the finished mask, it remains to stick it on cardboard, sew a small piece of elastic around the edges, connecting the edges of the mask. This is how you can make wraps. Wearing them, the child will be able to fix the mask on the head with the help of an elastic band, and it will not fall off. Headbands play an important role. Do not make rims too tight or too loose. The former will squeeze the head, and the latter will be too loose. Headbands should be in moderation and not cause inconvenience. If you decide to prepare a home theater, make sure that nothing interferes with the baby.

You can choose the appropriate costume for the mask. By the way, it is not necessary to buy it or make it from expensive material: everyday clothes are suitable for a costume, which can be decorated or symbolically sheathed with paper elements of a dress.

That's all. We put on a suit - and our fairy-tale hero is ready for adventure. Do not deny yourself the pleasure of arranging a holiday for your child and a real theater that he will make with his own hands. It takes so little! Just pictures of fairy tale characters and animals on our site, which make great free children's masks. Choose, download, print and play with your little ones.

How to make masks for the performance Fly-Tsokotuha.

Name days can be celebrated by playing the play "Fly-Tsokotuha". For example, in the style of a skit - not to sew costumes, but to designate the characters by putting on masks and hats.

Reread the story and figure out what characters we need.

Fly, Spider, Komarik - the main composition.

Auxiliary: cockroaches, grandmother bee, fleas, beauty butterfly, grasshopper, horned beetles, ant with ant, as well as fireflies, centipedes, worm bugs, goats.

What is good about this fairy tale - despite the fact that there are three main characters, the extras are huge and everyone present, wearing such a mask-hat, can feel like an actor and play a certain role. I usually make props from isolon (tourist rugs), but cardboard ones also look quite spectacular.

Masks - Fly and mosquito

Let's start with the frame. First, cut out an even strip 3 centimeters wide. Narrower ones will not be strong, wider ones look bulky. Length - 85 cm (this is if the masks are intended for adults or teenagers). Ideally, masks should be made exactly to the measure of a particular role performer. But in life, a good isolone mask has served faithfully for years, and the actors change. Therefore, we take the average sizes.

With the help we glue the frame in this sequence. We make an incision at the back of the head, which will make it possible to slightly change the size.

Mask details

Cut out the face of the fly according to the pattern. The color is gray or pink (depending on whether you prefer the resemblance to insects or like more humanized characters). I myself adhered to the stylized appearance of insects. Since Chukovsky wrote about insects, then we will beat their features. Eyes - from green foil, it is better if it is a green holographic self-adhesive film. If you really want to, you can decorate your eyes with long eyelashes and glue lips with a bow under a long nose. Six paws can be made just black, or you can put on gloves and shoes. For elegance, the cap frame can also be decorated with green or blue foil. Wings are made of transparent plastic film. I took a transparent cover for a school textbook - they are sold in stationery stores (I don’t advise using hard plastic, for example, from soda bottles - the edges are sharp, and we don’t need anyone to cut themselves in the bustle of the presentation). Lay out the veins on the wings with narrow strips of colored self-adhesive film. You can draw with a permanent marker, but ... it will not look very elegant. Everything is enough for a convincing image of a fly. If the soul really asks for a beauty and a coquette, there is an option to put on a tiny hat with a veil, but I didn’t do it myself - in my opinion, it turned out too much.

Spider Mask

There are two ways to approach this character. Or interpret him as a gloomy villain, then he will be all black and like a tarantula. Muscular hairy paws, a villainous muzzle: frowning eyebrows, bloody fangs... The frame of the spider was made of dark blue isolon. Long, multi-colored jointed legs in shoes of various sizes, a blue face with eyes narrowed to the nose and a bared mouth - and that's enough - let's refrain from excessive brutality, because this is an old spider man.

Spiderman Mask

The rest of the insects will be made on the basis of a standard cap frame. Ant with an ant: black - shiny. (I describe the ant mask for the whole face here: http://nonsenspictures.ru/maska-muravya/)

Ant Mask

We will make the butterfly brighter and do not skimp on the patterns.

Characters such as cockroaches can only be indicated by red color and mustaches, wings and paws will, perhaps, be superfluous. For bugs, I can offer a pattern of wings, here it is important to make the right tucks and, of course, decorate with beautiful patterns.

The mouse as a character is often found in children's staged performances. For example, everyone's favorite fairy tales Repka and Teremok are hard to imagine without this modest but full of charm character. Therefore, if a child participates in such a production, parents face a problem: where to get a carnival costume.

The best solution would be a cute mouse mask made by your own hand for a child. You can make this little thing together with the baby, then he will be very proud that a muzzle made by his hands flaunts on his head.

Paper mouse

This master class is designed for those who want to save time. The mask is made very quickly according to the template:

In order to create a mouse, you will need a sheet of white or gray A4 cardboard and an elastic band. As well as auxiliary equipment and tools: a printer, scissors, glue and a hole punch.

How to make a mouse mask on the head:

  1. You need to save the template you like to your computer, and then print it at home on a printer.
  2. After that, cut out the muzzle of the animal along the contour and glue it to the cardboard base for rigidity. Cut out the animal from cardboard along the contour.
  3. Punch holes along the edges of the base on the head using a hole punch - an elastic band will be attached in this place.
  4. Measure the length of the elastic so that it is equal to the circumference of the child's head.
  5. Pass the elastic through the holes. The paper mouse mask is complete!

Similarly, any other cardboard animal for children can be created.

Felt mouse

Two-layer animal made of felt. Such a thing can be easily made at home, it requires gray, pink and black felt, threads of the corresponding colors, and an elastic band. The product is sewn on a sewing machine, if desired, this animal can be made manually.

To make an animal out of felt, you can use the template:

Manufacturing sequence:

  1. In this master class, all the details were made in one copy of felt, except for the muzzle. It must be cut in duplicate, leaving slits for the eyes.
  2. Sew pink details to the muzzle in the ear area.
  3. Sew on the nose in the appropriate place.
  4. Sew in the direction from the nose to the edges of the mustache with black thread.
  5. After that, connect the front part of the animal with the second, wrong side. Measure the length of the elastic to fit the child's head. Insert the edges of the elastic between the front and back sides. After that, stitch close to the edge, retreating 2 mm.

The product is ready! Your "home workshop" can also make masks of other cute animals from felt.

Examples of other masks

You can also try to bring to life other mouse masks:

  1. Crochet. Cute hat, designed in the shape of a blue mouse. On the Internet you can find diagrams and master classes explaining how such a product is made.

  1. Foam product. To make such a product is quite difficult, and it requires a certain skill. Foam rubber mice are most often handled by workshops specializing in the professional manufacture of such products.

  1. Headband for carnival. The bat mask can be used as an element of a Halloween carnival costume.

Any DIY carnival mask will be highly appreciated by children. Such products can complement the New Year's look or outfit for any other holiday.
